Comcast, Verizon and Other Telecom Giants Threaten Internet Freedom

Internet Service Providers are moving fast to curtail an open Internet, just one month after the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled against the FCC's "Open Internet" rules. Citing a lack of authority under current law, the court threw out the FCC's protections, which had blocked ISPs from "unreasonably discriminating" against content providers. While the FCC is busy crafting new rules, ISPs are mobilizing to start charging more to both content providers and consumers alike.
