Microsoft has big plans for the launch of Titanfall, not surprisingly.
MS is pulling out all the stops for this game man. I live near ATX I have to go check it out.
Lets see broke ass Playstation do this haha
PlayStation had a big presence at SXSW last year with the PlayStation Lounge... I'm sure they'll be there again. @ AngelicIceDiamond - I'm thinking about going to some of the interactive events too. Parking is always the bitch. Austin is hell on parking.
Wow worldwide launch celebrations for one game this is like the relaunch of XB1 or true launch if you want. Damn respawn/EA must be happy. I wonder how many systems this will shift considering this massive marketing? Will watch some streams come launch day.
The sales numbers will be inflated because of all the copies microsoft are giving away with new console sales. It will be hard to really know whether xbox will push titanfall sales or titanfall will push xbox sales
They will push each other. Those who have x1 will buy the game. Those who were thinkin of upgrading to x1 before will buy bundaloo
I don't see how that's 'inflating' the numbers. In fact it gives you a more accurate representation of why people are purchasing the system. If folks are buying a titanfall bundle, you can feel confident that the game is helping to sell the console. You know xbox isn't pushing Titan fall sales, because the game is available on other platforms.
Your right they're pulling all the stops.I don't know how many systems it'll sell, but i think it'll sell One million copies in it's first two weeks. That's across all platforms.
Xbox 360 has an install base of 80 million. I could see it selling even higher than your predicting.
@kingdip90 It would but to the casual world (majority) it is known as an XB1 exclusive and the X360 is also delayed by two weeks and has yet too be shown. It basically doesn't exist which will help them quite a bit at least until the X360 version launchs.
bet it all on one horse microsoft!
Man oh man. What if this doesn't work out like they hope?
Then they will find something else to cling on to I'm sure. Remember before the xbox launch around e3 time last year when microsoft hung onto ryse like it was the lifeblood of the console? I'm not knocking titanfall by any means it has garnered plenty of praise but it seems xbox feels like the need to have a trophy wife in the form of a blockbuster game to validate themselves. They need to watch field of dreams lol. Build it and they will come... The games I mean, blockbusters will come and I understand building hype but the hype machine behind this is insane! If it fails I'm sure they will hype up some other game in the works.
**IF** it fails of course they will hype the next thing, why wouldn't they? It's business and despite them being smart to take advantage of a game they paid a 3rd party for if you think micro with all their riches are going to pack up their toys and go home; then you truly are grossly underestimating them. Really there's not any logic to your comment, it just sounds like you are more jealous that they have a big game to advertise rather than any valid criticism about why they shouldn't. It's all a mute point though because Titanfall isn't going to fail anymore than its going to make X1 "the winner". It's going to sell at least 2.5-3 million copies in 2-3 months and X1 sales will get a short boost, until the next major game, that's all.
All their eggs in one basket. Gonna be pretty sad if Titanfall doesn't sell a bazillion copies.
Titanfall I'm sure will sell a bunch, what microsoft want is for it to move xbox ones and I'm not sure it will. The 360 is a lot cheaper and people mostly already have them... what's two weeks to wait for a game with this much hype or promise?
Well they put that two weeks there solely in the hopes that it'll force some people to buy some bones. Dunno if it'll work. Nothing seems to be working for Microsoft lately.
So now Microsoft is wrong for good marketing for their products? Man, this site never lets you down
