Despite a tough first year or so for Nintendo's Wii U around the world, there are many titles still to look forward to that should ensure the Wii U will become an invaluable system to own. Whether it is already sitting comfortably under the TV, or if it has yet to be bought, here is a run down of some of the known best-looking titles due to come out on Wii U in 2014 and beyond.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has set a new record by selling over 3 million units within 24 hours, tripling the PlayStation 4’s previous launch day sales.
Its crazy that it's both the highest selling console on day 1 and people can walk into a store and buy it with no pre order
Company skipped last year's event.
Not surprising at all.
I mean, they´ll be releasing a new console in a few weeks.
Nintendo has announced its financial results for the full fiscal year, alongside an update to Nintendo Switch shipments and more data, including a prediction for Switch 2 hardware and software.
well, the switch 2 has two holidays in the us, thanksgiving and Christmas.
so id say its fairly possible. the rest of the world will also grab them
Switch and Switch are a different kettle of fish. A sell out at launch by the diehards, strong sales, then the non diehards will be put off by the £75 ($99) games, including the stupid download cards which are topping £65 ($85). Not rocket science to work out how the Switch 2 is going to pan out. The PS5 has sold well, but games at £70, sales have been low. As game sales drop, prices will rise. Sony could knock out all their games for £40 and still make a killing selling more games. There's no denying that a gaming crash is looming.
Not paying for something that's not worth more than the price it was advertised, which is $449 - $499.
all they need is to fix the online and have cross game chat, and put all ds and 3ds games on the system and ill be happy. Updating the virtual console should be top priority, up there with the release of a real Mario game, Galaxies was amazing, so was M64.
The title is wrong - Do you mean the Wii U will become an "Unvaluable" system to own?
It already is solely because of the exclusives... or at least that my reason for getting one.
With Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart 8 coming out this year, I believe the Wii U will give the Xbox One a good challenge (it still has a 2 million plus lead on the Xbox One while the PS4 should eclipse the Wii U in sales this weekend after its Japan release) for second place in this generation of consoles. These games could be big system sellers and are attractive to the hard core and casual gamer alike. Super Smash brothers is especially a big deal with the gamers I know. Almost every party I go to, people play it (both the cube and the Wii versions.) Local multiplayer Mario Kart 7, 3ds, is also a big deal at these social gatherings. Local multiplayer games still have a place in the video game industry and Nintendo(this coming from some one who leans towards Sony platforms,) still does it better than their competitors.
People get too political nowadays. Wii U doesn't NEED cross game chat, it doesn't actually need anything, other than continuing to do what it does best: giving us great games to play.
Gamers seem to relish in the Wii U's misfortune, and that disturbs me. As a gamer, I would think you would be LOOKING for fun experiences outside the little box you've created for yourselves. No, the Wii U doesn't have all the spiffy features of PS4 and X1, and yet, I still find it to be just as valuable a console, if not more valuable. Why? In the end, all that matters is the games. And Wii U is on fire in that department. Take Super Mario 3D World and DKC Tropical Freeze, for example. I probably won't play a single game this entire generation that's better than those 2 games, particularly DKC, which is easily one of the best games I've played in my life.
So people can continue to cheat themselves of this amazing system simply because it's the popular thing to do, but the gamers who think for themselves, and look for great games NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE, are the ones who win. Some of the best games I've ever played in my life are on the Wii U. Several, actually. But people just can't seem to focus on anything other than lack of multiplats and party chat, and low sales. Multiplats and party chat are a MEANS for entertainment. But if the Wii U is still providing amazing entertainment without those things, what does it matter? Too much focus on the MEANS instead of the END result.
