Mitch of RGN writes, "The game features two modes that are mainly being played right now by the community but there are other modes as well. Thankfully there are tons of players to enjoy the game with and this provides for a better experience overall, preventing a situation as seen recently with Rekoil having absolutely no populated servers. The community for Insurgency is actually surprisingly huge as well as the maps but of course – not all servers are going to end up full all of the time, this leads to an occasional camp-fest during which the team you’re facing up against will not leave their base and instead will employ a strategy of making your team bring the kills to them as they sit and wait patiently. Visually Insurgency is neither creative nor impressive. The game’s art direction is clearly lifted from the heavily popular online Modern Warfare series and titles that inspired it such as Counter Strike."
