When a "writer" needs to resort to including colorful language in the title of a piece,it just shouldn't even be read... seriously. It's not that it's offensive or derogatory ( which it is ), it's just a cheap tactic to make you look his way.

And N4G the site should not allow it. And people wonder why most gamers are often pigeon-holed as immature, juvenile, and anti-social.

It's either going to be great or just pants imo, I am big doom fan but expectations are high. Would love to see large arena battles where you get locked in with shit loads of enemies like doom 1/2 with also the corridor side of it too, but with some new puzzle elements, getting key card of dead marine unlock door, find another keycard open door rinse and repeat will not cut it this gen. Unfortunately though any different to the originals might not feel like a doom game, I think just leave the franchise alone and create a new one imo.

I loved this article and agree with his points. I wonder if a DOOM as the author suggested would even take off, or do FPS lovers want the linear crap he described.

I say the new DOOM should take the Dark Souls route and be as unforgiving as humanly possible. Time for the hand holding and regenerating health to stop.
