The Game Inquirer says: "So the next big Sonic title was announced a few weeks ago with gamers around the world quick to voice their opinion on the shockingly different direction SEGA are planning to take the blue hedgehog. “This game looks awful” and “I’m done with the franchise” rang the forums with the occasional “I like it” comment popping up every now and again. Now we’ve had time to digest things a little longer I decided to list three reasons why I feel Sonic Boom may not necessarily be a bad thing for the series along with three that have me concerned."
Here are some classic Sonic designs that could replace the controversial original debuted in Paramount's latest trailer.
Just scrap the whole thing. Nobody wants a Sonic movie, especially the fans. Hollywood rarely gets game movies right.
How can any studio executive look at the time tested and proven Sonic designs over the years and come up with that monstrosity
Just look how how the Detective Pikachu movie successfully adapts so many of Pokémon to the big screen to mostly everyone’s visual pleasure.
Why would you deviate from that? The blueprint is already in front of you!
Eh, people are going to find a way to bash it IMDB style no matter what. I personally rarely pay attention to those kind of sites since taste differs anyways.
the only people who are goin towatch this is toddlers with their parents. no need to get too elaborated about this project.
The Sonic Boom series get a lot of flack from the Sonic and gaming community at large. And in a lot of ways that's very much earned. But not all is bad when it comes to Sonic Boom games if you're willing to step around (or forgive) Rise of Lyric.
The Sonic Boom games have all been bad. Some gave Fire & Ice a shot, hoping for a revival, but things haven't changed.
I hope Sega stops producing Sonic Boom games. The TV show is great though
The developers of this game are very well known, Big Red Button may not be. This game looks great.
I think it looks awesome, but I feel that games that hit Nintendo systems just can't win these days with people, through no fault of their own, as far as trying new things goes.
People cry for something familiar, something familiar hits the Nintendo system, "OMG we want something NEW already!"
People try something new on said system, "OMG the new stuff isn't what we wanted! Give us something we know and love!"
I feel sorry for them whenever that happens.XD
i think its a bad decision
i hate the character design of Sonic , also they removed the chaos emeralds .
what i am thinking is that this game is sega's answer to skylanders ( which i hate too )
whats making me optimistic is the fact that the game and the series wont hit japan which in my opinion is very good since that would mean there will be more traditional Sonic design in future games
Why are so many afraid of change or something fresh and new?
Not to diminish the point, it just that I get reminded every day that hardly any new properties are given a chance.
I get fleshing out and peaking a property, but there seems to be a huge problem as to know when we've past a peak.
Sonic Boom is a great idea. Refreshing and brilliant design.
It's basically Jax and Daxter on the Wii U in the form of Sonic the Hedgehog. I can't complain.
