So true. Seriously, MK2 is not just ages better than original. It's among one of the best sequels of all time and a case where not only EVERYTHING has improved over original but there the amount of content and other things has doubled and every new thing is as good.

Now MK is my all time series but there is no way an MK game is among best of all time IMO. The whole list is pretty horrible if you ask me but this is indeed their opinion.

Halo 3... I'm sorry, but it just doesn't deserve to be in a top 50 of all time, let alone a top 10. You'd have to be about 12 at the oldest ot put Halo up there.

Now, Halo 1 may get a place in the top 50 for me, because that game did give the FPS a well-needed kick up the arse. But, this is a top 10 OF ALL TIME, and Halo 3 doesn't deserve to be anywhere near this list.

This is more of a fanboy list, than a gamer list, to be honest. I think IGN's top 100 list was better, those guys seem to actually know something about gaming.

This is meant to be best games of all time, but instead, it's just an epic failure. Seriously, Halo 3 being on there is an embarrasment (no, I'm not a hater, I just know good games).

Although, I'm not sure the games you mentioned should make it onto a best of all time list, either. Best current-gen games, sure, but there's been some fantastic games in the past that N4G never seem to acknowledge. I hate to say it, but I think the average age of the N4G user is about 12, when you look at some members' taste in games...

With the exception of Mortal Kombat nothing on this list is older than 1998 (Ocarina of Time). How old is the author of this 15? And several of the games aren't even the best in their own series. Metal Gear, Final Fantasy VII and Ocarina. Although, I'd put Ocarina on top of FFVII, just because of Ocarina changed Video games in general, not just RPG's as like FFVII.

OoT also was an obvious source of inspiration for games even coming out right now, like Kingdom Hearts (I--Not II. It didn't really feature puzzle solving or epic Zelda-style boss battles or anything...just fighting. I loved it though), Okami, and others.

OoT Engine later gave birth to Majora's Mask, and with the expansion pack giving the N64 more RAM...Dear god. lol. Majora's Mask had the best real time graphics that I could think for that generation
