Maybe the best gaming machine I've ever bought. Not joking.

Same here :D i can't put the damn thing down.

TomShoe2681d ago

I know! Damn smartphones, they be crimping the Vita's style.

Nah. PS4, PS3, PS2, and PS1 are still better. How did you forget those ones. The technology of the Vita is better than the PSP, but the PSP had lots of games. The Vita has potential but the only games worth owning is Killzone Mercenary and Persona for those RPGS guys (not me). Every other game is also on PS3. And no I'm not a Bone guy or a Sony hater. I am on the Sony team but they are really dropping the ball by not bringing their big franchises to the Vita. If Sony doesn't support it why would 3rd party developers?

Becuzisaid2681d ago

Didn't forget all those. I've owned all of them and the psp. And you are way off on the number of games worth owning.

Snookies122681d ago

He said 'gaming machine' though. Meaning just the hardware itself, not the games that are on it right now. (The Vita most certainly has a lot of games worth owning already besides Killzone and Persona. Tearaway, Uncharted, Gravity Daze and Ys Celceta come to mind right off the bat.)

Besides, Vita already has like 100 games planned for release in 2014. That should keep any console owner happy.

@Snookies12 Nothing really big releasing this year for the Vita so far. Only minor JRPGs and ports from PS3 and PS2. Still, I'm waiting to play the sly trilogy on my vita.

@Fantasma

"the only games worth owning is Killzone Mercenary and Persona for those RPGS guys (not me)"

Right now i'm playing Muramasa Rebirth, Soul Sacrifice, Dangan Ronpa, Toukiden, and YS Celceta. All of them are amazing and worth owning. Not only that, Gravity Rush, Tearaway, and UC: GA also worth owning.

So obviously there's more than two games of worth owning title for vita and people who said otherwise are people who don't own vita or just fanboys who hated sony / vita with stupid reasons.

@Alex Boro

This year still have 10 months to go. Let's wait for E3, GDC, or TGS before saying "nothing really big" for vita. For me personally this year already an awesome year for vita because more japanese dev/pub localized their games for vita.

About to finally get one with the BL2 Slim release.

I still want to see both versions in person before I make my decision but I'm definitely getting one.

There is a good amount of games, but a lot of them are really niche, so as it gets more games it will sell better. That is starting to happen.

mine just broke :(. word is no one is stocking up on the OLED one. just grabbed a used wifi version today, really prestine condition. my SD card died with my vita, i lost everything. might grab an LED borderlands bundle just for the hell of it when it launches.

Hands down my favorite handheld, hope it sees greater success in 2014. Its nice to see the influx of localized titles coming out this year and hopefully, if Borderlands 2 sells well, it will offer an incentive for other western developers to support the platform. So far the only western publisher that has shown consistent support is Ubisoft.
