Though I didn’t care for it much myself, it is an example of quality game making, and I can easily see some people becoming enthralled by its mechanics. If you’re smart enough to grasp the concepts at play, patient enough to learn the ropes, and even-keeled enough to deal with the repercussions of numerous deaths, The Castle Doctrine just might be for you. So do as Joe Biden says: get a shotgun for your sweetheart, and get ready. There are thieves on the loose, and The Castle Doctrine wants you to protect what’s yours."
