“Toast Time”…a game where you’re put in control of a piece of toast, a happy little slice of bread that has been cooked to perfection, a tasty little treat for young and for old. Our hero is called TERRY which stands for; Toast-ejecting Recoil and Reload System, and he’s what stands between us and the hostile invaders coming for us. All I can say about “Toast Time” at this point in time is that it is one of the quirkiest little mobile games I’ve played in a very long time and, for me; quirk is king. It’s a nice little game that doesn’t ask too much of the person playing it but gives back a great deal of enjoyment, the way mobile games are supposed to be!
Hardcore Gamer: Last week, the Humble Android Bundle 12 came out with a fairly incredible pay what you want tier. Now, the BTA tier has been updated with a trio of new games.
"When you think of Toast Time, you immediately think of getting some toast and a cuppa, yet the small team at Force Of Habit have decided Toast Time refers to a pixeled toaster firing a torrent of toasted, baked goods at enemies. Hell, playing as a toaster that slowly unlocks an arsenal of yummy pixel death had me interested right away."

I always find it strange when games make the jump from mobile to more “standard” platforms. Toast Time, a frantic arcade style game with dashes of puzzle and tower defense thrown in for good measure, is no exception to this. From the moment I started it up, it was pretty obvious that it had been ported over from a design that was created for phones and tablets, but that didn’t take away from it much – if anything, it added to the old-school charm of it by keeping things in the kind of tight, limited play space that was featured in old arcade machines and many early video games.
This is good to hear, I was excited about Toast Time! Loved the color-overlay-on-black-and-whi te look. I'll have to nab it - quite a few glowing reviews.
