All Evidence Pointing To A New Arkham Game

Yesterday, Kevin Conroy inadvertently confirmed a new Batman game on Twitter (Again) by stating that he can't talk about it. It's time to revisit all the tiny drops of information and leaks we know about the next game!

Go back to the golden age of of comics. I would rather a batman noir. He is The Worlds Greatest detective, and I think that is being forgotten by flashy gadgets and suits. If they could do 90's batman the animated series in a more realistic model, I think they would have a winner for sure.

They should have brought Origins to XB1 and PS4. With the almost no games released on either since launch it would have done well... I would have brought it.

Why Origins was a solid and fun action game?

Because I felt it was a big step down from the overall quality of the first 2 games. It wasn't a Rocksteady game and it showed.

Had a lot of bugs to it, though. I agree it was solid, had a superior story to City too. But it also kinda felt like a placeholder because Rocksteady's game wasn't due for a bit.

I thought Origins had a better story than City and pretty good boss battles.

Did you play Origins? The Batwing was in it and it was used for fast travel.
That game was far from a quick cash in. It had a good story, better than City's even.

Uh...who didn't see this coming? They knew they struck gold after the first one. That's why they took the Assassin's Creed development approach with Origins. By giving it to a different developer so the main team could work on the hopefully Next-gen version.

I'd love a Green Arrow game by Rocksteady. Real shame they wasted a bunch of Arrow's villains in the last Batman game though (Deathstroke, Electrocutioner, Lady Shiva). :/ But a real good game with Count Vertigo, the Royal flush gang, and Merlyn could be great. Maybe even have a Arkham city-like secondary character like Black Canary, Shado, or Huntress? o.o

The next Arkham game better take place in ALL of Gotham or I'll be very disappointed.

I'm going to say this: Thanks to Arkham Origins, people are kinda tired of Batman. Even if its a new Rocksteady game, if it doesn't shake-up the formula some, there'll be a problem. For me, personally, it needs to be:

- open world, but all of Gotham. Don't show me a bustling city across the water I can't get to.
- Actual legit methods of transportation, not just quick travel. The Batmobile, the Batplane, maybe even the boat.
- MULTIPLE CHARACTERS. Full stop, this is the most important for me. I can't shell out even one penny for another Batman game if the entire time I can only play as Batman. I need multiple characters, like Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Catwoman can even make a return since she has a moveset already. You were headed in that direction already--don't go backwards, Rocksteady. If we get all that, even if the game is crossgen people will still probably love it.

Also, if it turns out that rumor we heard years ago was actually about TWO different games, with Origins being the "Silver Age" portion while Rocksteady actually IS working on a game featuring the Justice League...fucking SOLD.

I hope that Justice League rumor is true. Only Rocksteady can make that right. The level of respect they showed to the Batman mythos when making AA & AC is the way I'd like to see the rest of the league treated.

- I felt the same way about seeing a city across the water 3 games in a row. But after thinking about it, even if we get all of Gotham, we'll still see something in the horizon from surrounding cities.

- Gliding and grapnel gun are legit methods of transportation and using the Batwing(plane?) freely outside of fast travel negates those two.
Batmobile is a maybe. Streets would have to be empty to prevent Batman from killing anyone by running them over. That's a tricky one.

- YES to multiple characters. Totally agree.
I'm tired of DLC "challenge maps" being the only method of playing as another character. They NEED to be part of the main story as well.

One more thing I'd like to see change, is the fact that all the streets in the city are full of thugs. No more sectioned off Gotham or giant prisons please.
I'd like to see civilians going about their daily lives everywhere in Gotham, with some thugs, crimes in progress and crime scene detective work sprinkled here and there. Big city maps like these start to feel lifeless.

As far as the gliding/grapnel thing? It should be for short distance. You're not going to call the Batwing to travel around the same section getting Riddler trophies, but as the map gets larger it becomes more ridiculous to have to use gliding+grapnel to get around. Cool at first, but in the end game it becomes tedious.

Other than that, yeah definitely agreed.
