Free-To-Play Done Awesome: Loadout Shows The Way

Baden of WGB: "I’m making an exception for this one, though. Don’t think of this as a review, because that would be pointless. There are plenty of examples that make F2P the best thing ever: Warface, Planetside 2, Team Fortress 2, Need for Speed World, etc etc., so I'm not too sure about that entire setup, but I get it: Dungeon Keeper is topical, so it's convenient to have an equally topical game to compare it to. Free to Play IS awesome though, just not some companies behind them.

Rift is an example of a Free to Play MMO system done right.

There are several games with really good free to play models as you and Daavpuke said. Rift I can agree on. It didn't have a great start but it sure has come a long way. Many free to play titles deserve a second look.

Loadout is really damn good. It really surprised me just how good it is. And I really have no idea how they expect to make money from it with their free to play mode. It's good stuff. =)
