My addiction to Towerfall faded almost instantly with the release of Samurai Gunn and my love obsession with Windjammers. The Ouya PR team got in contact a few weeks ago to send us across a code for Soul Fjord, a rhythm action Roguelike from Portal creator Kim Swift, featuring a funky soundtrack from Austin Wintory of Journey fame. Pixels for Breakfast writes: The Ouya has been waiting for that killer exclusive, the one title that will make indie game enthusiasts flock to the system. Soul Fjord was supposed to be that game, but much like the console it calls home, it fails to deliver on what could be an enticing experience.

As the cross section between 70′s funk and Norse mythology, you’re placed into the role of Magnus Jones (again, awesome), a warrior wrongfully denied access to Club Valhalla, the afterlife’s hottest nightclub. In order to claim his spot, he’ll battle his way up the Yggdrasil to the illustrious club, fighting everything from disco spiders to literal lounge lizards. His weapons and armor range from simple bladed weapons and leather armor to funkified ‘fros and stop signs.
