Writer Fraser Brown takes Paradox Interactive's Warlock 2 for a spin and finds out that, in a world of magic, everything wants to kill him. "Warlock 2: The Exiled is exactly what I wanted to see from a sequel to Master of the Arcane. It takes the plethora of magical spells, diverse units — greatly improved by the addition of huge mechanical beasties and giant spiky turtles — and city-building from the first game, but adds greater agency. Instead of being given a world to conquer, I was on an adventure through many smaller worlds, driven to an end game where I’d confront the warlock who caused this mess in the first place."
Dealspwn: "The Humble Store Winter Sale continues with some smart PC bargains."
Paradox Interactive today announced that “Wrath of the Nagas,” the new expansion for Warlock 2 that’s loaded with serpentertainment, is available worldwide for Windows PC and, for the first time, Mac and Linux. Wrath of the Nagas, which adds a new race of slithering sorcerers to the turn-based strategy wargame from Ino-Co Plus, is now available for $14.99 from digital retailers worldwide.
For the asking price of $29.99 there’s a lot to like if you enjoy strategy games in general. Owners of the original Warlock: Master of the Arcane game may be disappointed with the lack of new content, but newcomers to the series will be pleasantly surprised.
