The Ten Best Games of 2013

Sean Halliday of Pixel Gate writes:

''2013 was a decent year for video games. We saw the likes of the 360 and PS3 host titles that made the most of their hardware. We saw the PS4 and Xbox One unleashed onto the market. There were a number of fantastic games across all systems (we can all agree on that), and this is a list of my personal favourites. The are some glaring emissions, most of them indie titles, but that’s mostly down to the fact I played fewer games this year due to enjoying other activities in life.

Without further ado, whether it be from the realms of PC or the handheld joys of the Vita, and even the misunderstood world of the Wii U, these are my ten best games of 2013.''

Agree? disagree? is the omission of GTA too unforgivable?

This is a very subjective piece and therefore, your list of 10 best games is hard to take seriously.

"I quickly grew sick of driving from A to B in most of the missions."

"I enjoyed it for the most part, but it just felt a bit long-in-the-tooth "

Also:

"Trevor felt like Walter White’s Hesinberg"

Er..not really to be fair. He felt like a complete lunatic.

Eh, it's a fair list.

A little surprised with the additions of Metro: LL and Fire Emblem, but I haven't played them yet, so I can't talk.

Your comment comes off as being hurt by GTA not being placed in the ten...calm down dear, no one said its a bad game.

You featured dmc as a main part of your list yet better games then it got Honorable mentions

.....right

GamerEuphoria3408d ago

I know right? Opinions are fucking awful! Same way Sonic games have been awful for nearly the last ten years

Really? You have GTA V and Bioshock infinite in 'honorable mentions'???

well you've given your reasons...so i'll let it slide. :\...not happy with the list...but i'll let it go.

Not a bad list, but yeah leaving GTA V and Bioshock Infinite in the honorable mentions is absurd.

Haven't tried all of the games that were listed but after picking up DMC on PS+, that is the one I disagree with the most (besides the lack of GTA/Bioshock as others mentioned).

Its definitely not a bad game, but nothing about it screams best of 2013 to me.

I'm actually really liking Devil May Cry. It's totally not my type of game - but much like a several other games being offered free on PS+ has really allowed me to enjoy every bit without being overly critical.
