''2013 was a decent year for video games. We saw the likes of the 360 and PS3 host titles that made the most of their hardware. We saw the PS4 and Xbox One unleashed onto the market. There were a number of fantastic games across all systems (we can all agree on that), and this is a list of my personal favourites. This is a very subjective piece and therefore, your list of 10 best games is hard to take seriously.

A little surprised with the additions of Metro: LL and Fire Emblem, but I haven't played them yet, so I can't talk.

Not a bad list, but yeah leaving GTA V and Bioshock Infinite in the honorable mentions is absurd.

Haven't tried all of the games that were listed but after picking up DMC on PS+, that is the one I disagree with the most (besides the lack of GTA/Bioshock as others mentioned).

Its definitely not a bad game, but nothing about it screams best of 2013 to me.

I'm actually really liking Devil May Cry. It's totally not my type of game - but much like a several other games being offered free on PS+ has really allowed me to enjoy every bit without being overly critical.

Glad to see someone else admired dmc as much as me. Highly underrated. That that game was going to suck buy ended up loving it. Best enemy variety in a dmc game yet. Boss fights were meh. Combat was fluid as water. The story was so so. I was so glad the glove stations were done right for once

That's not exactly a glowing review of the game you're giving it, yourself. Which sounds about in line with what most reviewers and gamers had to say about it. Don't know how that counts as underrated, let alone highly so.

Yea typing on my smartphone kind of botched my grammar. On a strictly gameplay stand point it is amazing. The story is no better than the original ones but no worse

^ Yeah, the story was worse. I'll give ya that DMC1-4 didn't have the deepest of plots but they worked for the game.

DmC's plot boils down to Slurm driven by an evil corporate executive to enslave a species he already seems to have enslaved. Tack on the fact that we went from life as we know it to being "saved" by the hero's decision to tear down the barrier keeping us from the demon world....I can't accept this.

I can't accept their hero, I can't accept their plot, I can't accept the senseless outcome, and I sure as hell cannot accept that music!

I'll give you that this game plays well but at the same time it felt more like Heavenly Sword 2 than a DMC game.

However, I can't for the hell of me see how Trevor is anything like Heisenberg. Nope. That's absurd.

It was more his unapologetic, relentless pursuit of success rather than being the smart and scheming ways of Heisenberg.
