Fun With the Xbox One “Cycle Of Acceptance”

Chris Vellucci reports: "A recent graphic has surfaced with the title “The Xbox One Cycle of Acceptance.” The cycle shows the ‘official’ 7 stages of accepting the Xbox One has your next gen console. It’s not clear where the graphic originated, but it seems to be created by someone who wants to support the Xbox One console no matter what."

It never ends. If you report anything negative about the XB1 (and there's a lot) you're instantly labeled as anti-Xbox.

N4G had nothing to do with this and it breaks no rules. You all have to ability to help moderate what is submitted, approved, failed, etc. If you choose not to do so then you have no right to complain. Pog, you're a contributor; contribute)

It's also supposed to be humorous. It really isn't very imo, but if it was sports related would it be? What if it was about the Raiders?

Point being, things are taken entirely too seriously sometimes even if spawnfirst has earned the reaction from the past. And by making the comment here you're only increasing it's exposure.

Unfortunately the few "sensitive" articles we've published have branded our site as leaning a specific way perceptually, even when we actually don't. It's a shame, even though we've had some absolutely amazing op-ed, review, and feature pieces written up by top-notch writers; they don't get the deserved attention they should, and have been relegated to obscurity, even after being posted to N4G. It really sucks that the smaller news pieces get more attention than they should.

Just a microcosm of what's going on in the game journalism industry as of late.

I saw the same cycle for PS3 and I still read similar things about Driveclub. I played it, it's not good--->delay--->it is because it's a garbage--->no it is because they are improving it--->another delay---> I'm disappointed but it will be a masterpiece for sure.

Of course the problem with your comment being that Driveclub has looked better and better each time its been shown and PS4 games are at resolutions and framerates high enough that we don't need to go through those stages of acceptance. Lol.

Thats funny. Its a mediocre System at best. A definitive version does not run the same frame rate it did the last generation unless its Xbox One, then its acceptable.
