Nine Over Ten 9/10 has put up a review and hands-on gameplay video of RoboCop, a iOS game tie-in to the 2014 movie reboot of the decades of franchise. The game is an on-rails shooter ala House of the Dead and players will control RoboCop through various simulated levels.
RoboCop didn't have too many good video games -- but there are three standouts that are worth playing in time for his 30th anniversary. Here are WWG's top recommendations.
Personally love both arcade RoboCop's, love DATA EAST they certainly made some classic coin ops:) luckily I have em all on my custom PC Arcade setup.
Carl Williams writes, "Historically, movie licensed games or games created to celebrate a movie, have sucked worse than many of the original titles on any given platform. With the popularity of Android as a gaming platform, games have come fast and heavy including those that carry the license of a major movie. As usual, some suck, some don’t and a few are better than anyone would have given them a chance to be. Here are five of the better ones that Android gamers can grab, for free if you avoid In App Purchases on your Android device right now."
Scarface: The World Is Yours on PS2.
The first 3 Harry Potter games back on the PS2.
Spider-Man 2 on PS2.
Glu Games' scrappy freemium reskin of Frontline Commando is passably entertaining, and doesn't appear to be overly concerned with hounding you for cash.
The thing I don't understand about the Robocop Reboot is why is he totally encapsulated in his suit except for one hand? I mean a bionic hand would probably be a lot stronger and whatnot, plus its a vulnerable point. What up Hollywood?
I have no faith in this reboot of Robocop. I already know it'll be PG-13, the first nail and Murphy getting caught in a car explosion?? Second nail...what will be the third nail??
