Kenneth Shepard reports: "Giant Sparrow has released some job listings for the studio’s upcoming project. The listing asks for applicants interested in a Lead Artist or Game Designer position to contact the studio via e-mail...However, it can be assumed that the game will be a PlayStation 4 title as part of Giant Sparrow’s three game contract with Sony."
The next title from Giant Sparrow, developer behind What Remains of Edith Finch, takes inspiration from Ico.
Nice. I’ve platinumed ICO and beaten Edith Finch three times, somehow lol. I’ll check out the new game.
Ico was great. It had an amazing atmosphere and feeling even though you couldn’t understand what they’re were saying. Lots of devs try to emulate classic games but have a hard time getting that same feeling. I hope they pull it off.
"The best characters come from the grain of reality"
Ben Esposito discusses his unconventional experience with diversity and development as an indie-game creator. As well as his latest project, Donut County!
Giant Sparrow’s mystery adventure title, What Remains of Edith Finch, was an unmitigated success. The game sent shockwaves through the community for its unique approach to storytelling, picking up the BAFTA for Best Game, and beating out a host of AAA titles in the process. GameRVW got in touch with the game’s Technical Art Lead, Chelsea Hash about the Game and the future for the studio.
This was one of the few (and I stress the word few) that legit made me cry at the end, I can’t wait to see what Giant Sparrow have in store for us next.
The Finished Swan?
I can't wait for Sony to announce more PS4 titles. It is way overdue.
The unfinished swan was really cool. It got completely overshadowed by Journey but I thought the unfinished swan was almost as good.
Unfinished Swan was a solid and original game, can't wait to see what they come out with next. I'd like to see a game that's cross platform between PS3/PS4/Vita.
