I really am thinking KH is oming to the Wii because the Officail Nintendo Magaine had some hints and the biggest one is the moon. I looked on the box of KH1 and that looks like the same moon used in KH.

Viva Pinata I don't think MS would allow that they only allowed the DS version because it does not hurt them in 360 sales.

As for Beyond Good & Evil 2 I see that more for the PS3 and 360.

As for Kid Icarus it looks more and more like it will and that is great news.

You do realize that my computer, which runs dual 8800GTX in SLI will spank your SP3 any day right? and just a simple matter of upgrading my quad core processor to guess what? THE NEXT GENERATION quad core, will effectively bring my computer to the NEXT GEN... (since that is what you fanboys are using nowadays)

My point is that if you are people are going to call the wii, last-gen, or underpowered, or whatever label you think sounds good, you should not lose track of the fact that in graphics power and processing power the consoles will always be a step behind PCs. In the case of GPU power, the 360 and PS3 are only running at the nVidia 7000 series cards which are in fact TWO GENERATIONS behind the current standard the 9000 series cards. Is that clear enough?

And no, I am not embarrassing myself. I am perhaps being silly for trying to reason with silly people, but that is an entirely different matter.

If you want to talk architecture and why PCs will always be ahead, sure we'll discuss, but don't bring the "wii is last gen" comments, or "it isn't true next-gen" because, guess what: NO CONSOLE WILL EVER BE. PCs will always be ahead.

Each individual part of a PC has its own generation. But they are all separate. Your next-generation Quad-core will only bring your processor to the next generation, presumably the newest accessible one. But your RAM is on its own generation cycle that has nothing to do with your processor, and the same goes with your Hard Drive and so on.

On consoles all of these parts are designed together with a system released every 5 years or so, what we call a generation. New PCs are released almost every day with different configurations of parts. That's as far away from the definition of generation you can get.

All 5 on PS3/360 are having a next gen blast
All 5 with the wii are still having a blast but not a "complete" next gen blast(graphics wise but still amazing gameplay)

3 out of the 5 PC owner will have crappy computers and are unable to run a game on par with any next gen system (i don't know anyone in real life who has a decent gaming computer, they all but dream)

So you pay 2000+ dollars for a quadcore with Nvidia 8800 GTX and you get slightly better graphics and pretty much no games that support these graphics(cept a few).

I would choose console over pc gaming anyday

i chose a ps3 because it had the quality games i enjoy and regardless of what console you chose, you chose because u like it and thus will have fun.

That is a very interesting comment, but wrong. More processing power doesn't always mean "better" AI, or physics. What it does mean is the potential for more of it. You see what I am getting at? Yes the PS3 and the 360 have more power than the wii, and yes the do have the potential for applying complex AI and physics over larger scales, but that doesn't mean better physics or A.I.

I mean take the time to think about it. If the games on the PS3/360/PC apply the same level of A.I. to more characters, or to more actions, then they may appear to be smarter, even when the exact same algorithm is being applied (After all, A.I. is nothing more than a predefined set of rules, heuristics and relationships). Same goes for physics. If you have the same rules of physics applied to more objects in a given environment, it might give you the impression that the physics are better, when in fact they are identical, the only difference being that they are applied to MORE object in the environment. Also, keep in mind that the wii isn't burdened by having to produce the same polygon count while executing this other stuff.

I swear, it won't be long before someone comes up and makes the very "smart and well informed" claim that it has something to do with "Blu-Ray."

Oh, and before I forget, here it is as promised....

No one would argue that consoles have more processing power than PCs. A PC could be anything. You could build a PC now that would be capable than the PS4, except for the Blu-ray reading of course.

But there's a reason physics engines are a new issue in gaming. They didn't have the processing power to even exist properly until a few years ago. That's why GTA III and Half-Life 1 didn't have physics, they couldn't have been processed by PS2 level technology. And the Wii is only marginally more powerful. It's not a question of more. Although physics will become better in the future. Whether they can exist at all is the issue with the Wii.

A.I. also becomes an issue when you're having to process it for multiple objects. You can't tell me gameplay doesn't change when you're fighting 5 guys instead of 50.

I have to play that game on a new-gen machine with updated graphics, not a console built with old tech and new controls.

it WILL Not be for all three systems. At least, not 360. I'd imagine, a KH3 on Ps3, and a kingdom hearts side game on wii (or just moar KH is general). But really, no one knows. Square enix is waiting to see how good the PS3's install base becomes, as they've stated.

But you guys need not and worry. Kingdom Hearts Next Gen project is not being announced till 2009 where there will be a trailer at the end of Birth By sleep =]

I don't care which system they bring KH3 on as long as they bring it out. If they really pushed the Wii and implemented the controls well it would look and play great, besides there's more Wiis in homes and I guess it's more suited to family games.

But the big thing for me here is Beyond Good and Evil 2, about f*cking time! by and far one of the best games I played last gen & easily goes to the top of my rumour wants list.

VP I can't see, it can come out for the DS since the deal in which MS bought rare from excluded handhelds or something, there was a loophole basically and they cans till develop games for it. The Wii though I somehow doubt....Unless this is like a team effort to kick the PS3 when it's still struggling to get back up....

If wii gets a Kingdom Hears Game I Hope its just a throw back version and not the truth sequel, that is Kingdom Hearts 3. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 will end up on the wii. But Squareenix are known for going with the console that they can push the graphics to the limits and since the Wii graphics are only a bit better than the game cube and a bit better than the PS2. Squareenix will first bring Kingdom hearts out on the PS3 and then they might downgrade the graphics and bring it out on the Wii and the PS2 the graphics of the Wii will never get any better than SMG and SMB and Mario Kart theres nothing u can get out of the Wii when it comes to graphics thats the best it has to offer.

I have both a PS3 and Wii since thier perspective launches. Id prefer to play KH3 on Wii, because it will have TP/Okami style controls.
And as far as graphics go, its a anime style game so it will still look good on Wii.

The fad games like FPS and Sandbox games can stay on the PS3. Wii dosent need trash like that when they have AAA 1st party titles bi-monthly. IMHO

i dont think MS will make Viva Pinata on a console besides their own... kingdom hearts i hope is true, it is an amazing game that generations beyond should enjoy... i just wish square would do this with other franchises of theirs... like the ones you cant go down to buy at a store anymore... KH can still be bought new at stores... but i missed an entire generation of PSone games cause i was like 10-14 when that was out and i only bought one console back then (N64) so i missed out on those games... now im forced to ebay ($56 for FFVII, i got) it up or find stores that still sell em, but at high prices.

I doubt that KH3 will be on the Wii. Since it will be a Tetsuya Nomura game its gonna mean PS3. He is keeping VS FFXIII on PS3 because he likes the power of the PS3. Since he has been in charge of the KH series since it's start he will most likely feel the same for that series. Not to mention that the KH series is huge and I doubt SE would risk alienating fans by having a completely different style of game the Wii would require.
