Damn, the PS3 is still roaring like a lion!

There's the advantage of unique architecture, where a 10 year lifespan can easily be achieved with excellent looking games. Just look at what Santa Monica pulled off with God of War II just towards the end of the PS2's lifespan. I hope we can see similar results despite moving to an x86 architecture with the current batch of consoles.

People buy CoD every year, or Madden, or any other series for that matter. So, why not one of the greatest racing series ever to grace a home entertainment system?

Why not buy GT6?

It may not look as good as Forza 5...but content wise, it's the best racer of 2013/2014 and proves the PS3 has plenty of mileage left.

Of course, since Forza 5 runs on hardware that is many times more powerful than the PS3. I think the PS3 holds it's own though, especially in the processing of replays. PD has improved their physics engine, making the game feel closer to a sim than ever before. The improved wheel / suspension feedback is very much appreciated.

In fairness it makes a change from a massive list of necessary bugfixes, it's not like they released half a game like some developers.

No they have made other changes that they just haven't announced. Minor changes like how it now shows the pp of a car change while changing the power percentage. Before you have to select the power % and then see what pp it was. Now it changes on screen so you can fine tune it better.

I only played for 10 minutes earlier as I had work to do so that's all I noticed so far.
