Valve Software is the undisputed king of PC gaming software, thanks to classic titles like "Portal' and "Half Life" and its multi-player distribution service, Steam — which now boasts more than 65 million users. But in a move that's got gamers the world over chomping at the bit, the Seattle-based company made its first step into the world of gaming hardware Monday night at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, when it announced the companies it has partnered with to develop its highly anticipated "Steam Machines."
Today, Portal with RTX is being upgraded with DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, multiplying framerates, as well as the transformer model for Ray Reconstruction and DLAA, enabling even better image quality. Portal with RTX is also adding RTX Neural Radiance Cache (NRC), a neural shader that improves indirect lighting, as well as a bevy of performance optimizations.
Valve gave a user Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for free as compensation for the long wait during their Steam Deck repair.
I had a similar experience when I initially pre-ordered my Deck. There was an issue during shipping and they offered me a customer service perk for the hassle and let me pick any game on Steam. It was super nice of them. I got a copy of Rime.
A LinkedIn post from Underdark AI made the discovery, stating that datasets are being sold for over $5,000 on a known black market forum.

It is getting out of hand and it is the regular citizens of the world that suffer the consequences of these hacks and breaches.
My fear is that if left unchecked, state sponsored hackers from corrupt or governents under sections may use this as a method of raising revenue at the expense of everyone else.
remember when certain groups were saying PC gamers don’t want other subscriptions because it was not safe and steam was the spot lol.
"The relatively low-end models from iBuyPower and Cyberpower start at $499, which is the same price as Sony's new PlayStation 4."
Wrong!
That thing better be packing a 16 core CPU and Quad GTX 780ti's or the new announced GTX 790 or else this is going to be a major rip off!
And the standard Edition better outperform a custom built PC for $500 or else nobody going to buy this thing?
Should've made HL3 instead. Now you shall wallow in the feces of Kaz Harai.
Why is this supposed to encourage developers? Its just continuing the same fragmented marketplace with a different, new and unfamiliar, operating system. I think Valve have missed the point with this.
