ChristCenteredGamer The Walking Dead Season 2 review

The story so far is good and we look forward to the remaining episodes. Any fan of the TV show or previous game will enjoy this entry. If you do decide to check this game out, make sure that children are not around with the graphic imagery and extremely foul language.

Solid review. The new season is off to a great start!

FRAKISTAN3769d ago

what does ChristCenteredGamer mean? I hope you're being satirical or blasphemous

WeAreLegion3769d ago

Just means he's a Christian gamer. Chillax, man.

hazelamy3769d ago

what does being christian have to do with gaming?

that's the kind of question that gets asked whenever there's a women's or gay gaming site article on here.

Sketchy_Galore3769d ago (Edited 3769d ago )

@hazelamy,

That IS the kind of question that gets asked but it is asked by people who need to chillax (or relax at least ).

InMyOpinion3769d ago

I think it means that he doesn't like Mass Effect.

Edsword3769d ago

Why? You cannot be a Christian and enjoy videogames? I hope you are the one being satirical. I am a Christian, and I enjoy videogames. I realize many of the games I play do not share my world view. I play games for the entertainment value , just like I watch Star Wars and Star Trek, but it doesn't affect my faith. I won't play games if they have certain aspects that are directly offensive to my faith, but just because game characters participate in activities I myself would not, doesn't mean I won't play the game. I live in a world were everyday people participate in activities I would not. I don't go around judging them or avoiding any contact with them.

Hicken3769d ago

I think it's more about the NEED to place your faith in the title of your site. What does being "Christ centered" have to do with gaming?you're going to let your faith color your view on gaming, might it not be better to use the word "gaming" rather than "gamer?"

To people not so hung up on faith (specifically, promoting it), it sounds as if you have this need to let everybody know, "Hey, I'm a gamer, but I'm also Christian." Which turns it exactly into what hazelamy says above: one of those attempts at gaining attention.

Which isn't necessary. Never is. Just be a damn gamer.

Edsword3769d ago

Hickman,

While I see your point, you obviously find his need to associate his faith with his game reviews offensive. However, you probably don't find GayGamer offensive. Tolerance goes both ways my friend, he has as much right to call himself ChristCenteredGamer as GayGamer has a right to his tag line. Just like you could call yourself AtheistGamer if you felt like it. I personally do not believe in flaunting ideologies in this manner either, but to each his own.

Hicken3769d ago (Edited 3769d ago )

Offensive? Hardly.

Rather, I simply don't see the necessity. Just like GayGamer or GirlGamer. Believe me. I'm a black man raised in the South to baptists and Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm about as tolerant as anybody you'll ever meet. I'm not knocking his right to call himself whatever he wants. Simply the necessity.

I'm no atheist, by the way. Don't know why you would think that.

cjflora3769d ago

It's pretty clear this site is aiming to give reviews to other Christian gamers who might have a different standard on what they deem acceptable to play. He mentions "Moral warnings" which probably determine if they might not like the game if it goes against their moral beliefs. P

Hicken,

Thanks for you reply. I did not mean to insinuate you were an atheist, simply that you have the right to that tagline. I am sorry if I misread your response to my original post. You certainly have the right to the opinion you gave.

Game never had plat no surprise

NukaCola3489d ago

Season 1 has a platinum trophy. I have it. 500 Days didn't though.

Jaqen_Hghar3489d ago

still sucks though. Couldn't be any easier than season 1 so no reason not to

Jaqen_Hghar3489d ago (Edited 3489d ago )

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Well guess a man will only get for Ps4 now (was going to get for both and plat both so now dev will get less support). Honestly why not have a plat? Your first game had one and it was impossible to miss so it can't be any easier. The Wolf among us for both then and TWD season 1 PS4. Well that's still 3 platinums to add to a man's collection. A man still supports the dev but this makes zero sense. Hopefully BF gets them both down to $20 or lower.

To be clear a man doesn't base any purchases on trophies. A man was going to wait for the PS4 versions of all the games regardless but was going to get the PS3 version as well before re-selling it just to get the plat for little to no cost (after resale cost was subtracted). A man only bothers to platinum a game if he likes it and never does annoying trophies like Resistance 2 10,000 kills despite that being the only one that he didn't have because if they're not fun why go for em?

KwietStorm_BLM3489d ago

Didn't have it on PS3 either. Don't know why, but yea.

Papafynn3489d ago

Dear Game Developers,

Platinum Trophies sells games. Gamers check trophy Lists before they buy a game. An easy or "Onlineless" trophy list could be the tiebreaker if they can afford only one game. Trust me it does. Doesn't make much sense but well.....it's gamers of today. They need to be rewarded. Be it a 100 "Like" on their selfies, 100 "retweets" or 100 other gamers watching them play a game on Twitch.

Give them their Platinum Trophies.

sloth33953489d ago

real gamers don't care about trophies only these fake gamers do. a real gamer plays a game for fun not to get trophies

Theangrybogan3489d ago

But what does a true Scotsman do?

kreate3489d ago (Edited 3489d ago )

It's always nice to have trophies. Especially the platinum.

Wish starcraft had trophies and be released on ps4 or x1. I'll play it all day everyday.

Ratty3488d ago

You can care a little, not at all or a lot about trophies and it doesn't affect your status as a gamer at all.

Some people enjoy hunting for trophies. You don't. That doesn't make you better than them nor does hunting for trophies make them better than you. So please ;p

CaptainObvious8783489d ago (Edited 3489d ago )

There's been many a game I've been on the fence about, about because of their stupid online trophies or lack of platinum trophy I haven't bothered.

Dark_Overlord3489d ago

Same here, I avoid near enough every game with ridiculous online trophies.

levian3488d ago

You guys know a game can be fun regardless of whether it's trophies are difficult to get, right? Just because you can't get them all the way you like to play doesn't mean it's not worthy of purchase.

ginganinja3489d ago

I was under the impression it was Sony that determined whether a game could include a platinum trophy.

SonyAddict3489d ago

A true scots man tries to get every platinum that he can get and I know..because I am one!.
