Overall, Freedom Cry is a solid piece of DLC, well worth the $9.99 price tag.. Fans of the franchise will enjoy the new aspects to naval and hand-to-hand combat and the score is simply fantastic.
The first story DLC for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is going to be released tomorrow on the North American PSN as a standalone title.
Woulda rather played Mary. =/_____\=
Still might give it a look but found Ade to be kinda boring as a character.
Developers – take note of how Freedom Cry starts. Mere seconds after hitting ‘new game’ you’re thrown directly onto the helm of a ship amid a giant naval battle. No cutscenes, no long winded narrative setup or exposition, just pure, unadulterated gameplay right from the start..
It’s unusual for Assassin’s Creed story DLC to feature someone who wasn’t the lead character of the main game. Since Assassin’s Creed IV’s story led Edward back to England, though, in order to maintain the Caribbean setting (and not drive the developers mad in trying to create entirely new assets), Freedom Cry tells a tale of Edward’s charismatic quartermaster, Adéwalé, instead.
