Gaming Blend writes:
"I love writing reviews where I can sign the praises of an obscure game and help it get the attention it deserves. This is not one of those reviews."

Wow, well you can't please everyone.
I thought this was a really fun and slightly challenging, but not pull your hair out game.
Don't believe I have ever read a review that said they were happy to the protagonist die repeatedly.

4Sh0w4166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

No this is from cinemablend, they are completely bias, especially William Usher who is a extreme sonyfanboy, hes had a vendetta against micro since proclaiming to the world Haze was better than Halo, then Haze bombed, look it up or just read some of his last X1 related news. I don't bother even reading his garbage anymore.

Seriously you'd be better off asking Shuhei Yoshida to review Xbox games, lol at least he might TRY not to sound biased.

Agent-864166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

I think that is just your Xbox fanboy showing through. Just because William Usher says something that you don't agree with doesn't automatically make him a Sony fanboy. Look at his recent comparison of GT6 vs Forza 4. He rips on GT6. By your logic, that now makes him a Xbox fanboy?

http://www.cinemablend.com/...

When he ripped Xbox One, all he was doing was stating facts: "So just to recount: The Xbox One has a slower CPU, a less powerful GPU, less storage space out of the box, no external hard drive support, is unusable without a mandatory day-one patch, lacks network bandwidth configuration controls and comes with AA batteries instead of a play-and-charge kit, yet costs $100 more than its direct competitor, the PS4. Can someone please make sense of this for me?"

http://www.cinemablend.com/...

What exactly was untrue about that statement? He could of even added in that it has weaker RAM compared to PS4 and how MS hides everything behind the XBLG paywall, even apps like Hulu and Netflix. Again, just the truth, but I guess the truth hurts. Just glad I'm a PC gamer and don't have to deal with the console wars.

jackanderson19854166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

@agent86. While he may post some decent posts I'm pretty sure he's gone on record himself and said he dislikes MS to a decent degree. He wrote an entire article about having to use an Xbox one against his wishes cuz cinema blend had bought it. He hates MS and he's admitted as such. It's a similar situation to polygon and MS. Polygon may be biased towards MS but occasionally they show some cop on and rate Sony game correctly based on the industry average

Agent-864166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

@jackanderson, well I don't like MS as well, but that doesn't automatically make me a Sony fanboy. I prefer PC gaming myself; however, I do like having a console for the living room for when guests come by. For my purposes, the PS3 was ideal since I do all my MP gaming on PC and I don't want to pay to access my apps, like Hulu+ and Netflix. Plus I like to stream stuff from my PC. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay MS $50-60 a year for the privilege.

I just don't like how MS is such a "money whore" and puts everything behind a paywall plus charges outrageous amounts for basic items: a special HDD, wifi connector, even headphones need a special connector. With the PS3, I could use an off-the-rack laptop HDD, had wifi built in and I could use my USB headset from my PC. Even my Logitech racing wheel worked with the PS3. Nothing proprietary, unlike the Xbox. MS is just too much of a money grubber for me.

Hicken4166d ago

Considering this is the same William Usher who says GT6 looks worse than Forza 4 and GT5(it doesn't), the same William Usher who bragged about the Wii U having more 1080p games than either console(even though it launched with NONE), the same William Usher who thinks the Wii U is going to win this gen based on its current lead in sales(despite that one year lead being halved in a matter of weeks)...

... yeah, I think you're pinning him to the wrong company. Really, a quick look at the articles he's authored- though I hesitate to call them anything but garbage- would tell you exactly where his loyalties lie, and it ain't with Sony.

But I understand: being an Xbox fan(and possibly a fanboy, though I'll get in trouble if I say that and be banned again, despite everybody else saying it with no repercussions; go figure), anybody who hates on Microsoft MUST be a Sony fanboy.

Don't get me wrong. I hate William Usher- as a writer, as a gamer, and as a person- and would love nothing more than for either him or the whole site to just vanish. His every article is crap, written just for the hits- ad blocker was made for people like him- and there isn't a shred of professionalism or decency in him. He's Tom Chick: Nintendo Edition.

But don't go making him part of the Sony fanbase. I assure you we don't want his ass.

4Sh0w4165d ago (Edited 4165d ago )

Godsmar, Agent, Hicken you guys act so naive but you know it's true about cinemablend and William Usher, stop trying to pretend an occasional bad word about sony and an very rare positive comment about xbox makes up for years of what is basicly a concentrated anti-microsoft agenda to smear the xbox brand. Also I didnt say ign is biased and thats the point although Ive seen more higher reviews than ign, I still accept ign review at face value even though I dont agree with it but CINEMABLEND IS NOT EVEN REMOTELY CREDITABLE because the site is well known to hate microsoft and thats the REASON WHY no one other than a etreme sony fan takes him seriously= see the difference. He is also frequently in the comments section of his negative xbox threads where acting no better than the fanboys there at cinemablend. There's tons of stuff like this from Usher basicly highlighting any negative he can and outright trying to tell people they should buy a ps4 instead of X1:
http://www.cinemablend.com/...
Wow that is ridiculous he took a positive off micro offering free stuff and made it negative saying their trying to buy customers so they don't jump ship but he'll never mention anything free f
on PSN in the same manner.

I could easily link you tons more anti xbox articles from Usher in the last year, he hates xbox which makes him extremely biased arguing he's not is just foolish given his history.

Cinemablend hates Microsoft.

I bought the game, It's certainly not a 5/5 but I wouldn't believe anything Cinemablend post about Microsoft/Xbox One anyway.

first1NFANTRY4166d ago

Exclusive to X1. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Would like to buy the console at some point.

Ausbo4166d ago

its owned by microsoft. It's not an indie like the title says.

whoyouwit044166d ago (Edited 4166d ago )

That's BS, there is no way in hell they played threw this game and only give it a 2.5. I mean it's no 5/5 but 2.5 get real. I garuntee if this was a PS4 exclusive it would've scored higher. Anyways, it is a 7 on metacritic; which is where I think it should be or maybe a 7.5.

Ashby_JC4166d ago

OK lets not be like SONY extremist and jump all over ONE persons opinion!!!

He doesnt like the game. So be it. If YOU like it...keep playing and enjoy.

Hicken4166d ago

Cuz Microsoft fanboys never jumped all over negative Forza, Ryse, Dead Rising, or Killer Instinct Reviews.

Oh, wait!

Anyway, disregard this tool. Vote the site down, give it no hits, and let's get rid of such crap.

4Sh0w4165d ago (Edited 4165d ago )

I cant speak for every single xbox fan but actually for the most part xbox fans dont freak out about every negative from a writer, yet there's a big difference between giving legitimate counter arguments to reviews and also calling out a very few sites like cinemablend which has built a long standing reputation of negativity towards xbox, not just here and there but years of hate agenda type articles vs sony fans who go ballistic at ANY site the moment they negatively critique sony or a ps game.

Seriously ask Adam Sessler I've seen that guy for years heap praise on all things sony I just really believed he's pro sony, not a xbox hater just generally hes sounded like he likes ps more, then as soon as he rightfully criticisms sony not getting out dev kits like in the past, it turns into a witch hunt. Its present on this site in many ways just look at how Bungie is treated by most xbox fans, it would be hard to find a known xbox fan on this site hating on Bungie for spreading their wings to a new platform, why because we still get the game so it's not like Bungie hates xbox they just want more people to play their stuff, we get that but then look at all the condesending insomniac comments, now seems Kojimas isnt thought of as a god he once was when he only made a ps3 exclusive game. Typical ps community, flip out on anybody who doesn't pray at sonys feet= No xbox fans just want a fair shake.

Ashby_JC4165d ago

I'm just basing what I see on this site.

Low scores for most Xbox only games reviews comments sections do not get flooded by Xbox fans with pitchforks as much as the opposite.

just my opinion based on what I see. It's not a fact.

Those games are too expensive, I can find them for cheaper at almost any retail store.

Perjoss3571d ago

Welcome, to a digital future!

Every time I see a Digital game at %40 off, and then it's still $20-40....makes me laugh.

Can go into Gamestop and get these games for much less most of the time and GET a physical copy of the game as well.

KiwiViper853571d ago

How much is a physical copy of Never Alone?

MSBAUSTX3571d ago (Edited 3571d ago )

Thief will be free soon as a free games with gold for XB1 I bet since it was already free on XB 360. Why spend money on it?

MSBAUSTX3571d ago

Sonic Generations is well worth the $6.50. You cant find it that cheap in stores. The family games sale is acutually decent on some of the titles.

Now if they could just buy back and resell these code, I might once again be visiting gaming, retail stores. Have not visited one in over a year.

MazzingerZ3931d ago

First EA acess and now this, it appears to me MSFT did't ditch all plans and stuff about DRM...will they introduce it later when gamers are "ready"? Where MSFT itself will decide that of course as usual...wait and see.

This means retailers ser the price...could lead to more competitive prices but also the oposite...moms,dads, beloved ones won't care paying higher prices as they don't have a clue about real pricing..I guess best price would still be on XBL I guess...

troylazlow3931d ago

PS Fear mongering at it again...

matt1393931d ago

If these codes are the same price as their physical counterparts then this is really good news!

Software_Lover3931d ago

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not lol

matt1393931d ago

I'm not. If the prices were the same i would definitely purchase all my games that way. At the moment, the prices on the xbox games store is around £15-£20 more expensive than in the shops.

n4rc3931d ago

I fail to see the purpose this serves..

Sure... It would allow people without credit cards to buy digital games..

But we've always had point/money cards.. I really don't get it.. Lol

Julion07153931d ago

This is good all retailers have price drops and sells so games at best buy might be 50 games at Walmart might be 30 this is good let them compete with the over price market place of xbox and ps store
