UGO: Active Life Outdoor Challenge Preview
UGO writes: "At first glance, Active Life: Outdoor Challenge seems like just another collection of minigames for a console already brimming with the genre. But what sets the Active Life apart, besides the health-forward focus already trumped by Nintendo’s own Wii Fit, is the similarly designed dance-mat controller that comes along with the software.
Unlike Nintendo’s Balance Board, the Active Life controller merely reinvents the dance-mat we’re already familiar with. There are no pressure sensitive buttons, or anything fancy like that, just good old button pressing with your feet. In a very consumer-friendly maneuver Namco Bandai has opted to include enough inputs (and space) on one mat to fit two players. So thankfully we’ll be avoiding any need to purchase another controller before jumping into some two-player action."
