Ken McKown writes: The Saints are back, and this time they are tasked with saving Christmas. With the latest expansion pack for Saints Row IV, players are once again tossed into a virtual world full of reindeer, elves and of course marital aids. While I enjoyed the concept behind the last expansion, Enter the Dominatrix, it was brief and left me hoping this final piece of single player DLC would truly knock my socks off. I mean who doesn’t want to see essentially a Christmas special starring the Third Street Saints? Sadly this pack is even lighter on the laughs and even sparser on the content.
It’s that time of the year again! Can you smell the peppermint in the air? Can you hear the sleigh bells jingling? Can you sense Kris Kringle’s reindeer making fun of Rudolph because they’re awful, awful creatures? Fantastic! If you can’t, then maybe there’s something to get that holiday spirit instilled in you: some great Christmas moments in video games.
In this month's feature, Chris and Wanda get into the Christmas spirit with Secret of Mana and Saints Row IV.
"As we move further into the calendar year, we find ourselves getting nearer and nearer to that ever so lovely and joyous time we know as the Holiday Season. In a wondrous mixture of merriment and stress, the holidays fill our calendars. This time of year gives us a chance to spend some quality time with loved ones, embrace the merriment of one another, reflect on the year in passing, and most importantly, catch up on the copious amounts of games both new and old on our to-do list. But this break towards the end of the year from our chaotic day-to-days is not only a time to play, but has impacted the medium from time to time itself. Traces of holiday cheer and the stress of the season can be found sprinkled all over the history of gaming." --PlayStation Enthusiast
