Battlefield 4: Where's the Megalodon?

As many may know already, there is supposedly a giant prehistoric shark lurking somewhere in the waters of Battlefield 4, an easter egg that has caused mass searches for clues leading to the giant beast itself.

Apparently there's a easter egg in Hainan resort that very few have found.This was stated by a DICE dev who was in the server.

For what system? I have the xb1 version and it still crashes and doesn't let you join conquest. Hell I try to join Tdm and it puts me in defuse.

to be honest.. On ps3 it works fine from the start for me... it has some minor bugs now and then.. but the scale of the game is big, so there is more room for errors... after the patch the only thing I notice was server selection fixed.. it was a mess before..

I have the PS4, there was a system patch yesterday and it seems to be fixing a lot of issues. I played for about 4 hours yesterday and didn't crash once, played only Conquest Large and Rush.

I KNEW IT haha! As soon as I saw what "The Gold Coast" was I suspected something. You think that's where it is? That was the first place my friends and I looked casue we figured Paracel Storm was already searched enough. Also, the password for the Phantom Prospect also happened to be a mission from MoH: Warfighter involving very similar looking ship to the one on Hainan!

People have gone through t the game files already and they haven't found a shark model within the game or anything of noticeable file size

I am hoping it is real even if the evidence says other wise, If not I hope all this Easter egg hype backfires on EA

Yeah man I mentioned that in the article. The game file could easily be hidden or patched/downloaded in upon completing something. I think it may have to do with unlocking the tags.

DICE confirmed there is no megalodon. There is a big easter egg on Hainan Resort which we still haven't found.

They did??? When? Could you show me where? Anyway, I don't know. There is SO much pointing to a megalodon. It could just be a troll and DICE didn't say it? Also the megalodon may be in a latere DLC?

A DICE dev confirmed on Twitter that there is no Megalodon.

But on Hainan Resort there is something very big, search Reddit for more info.
