Xbox One Best Games Accolades

Xbox Wire:

It's been a huge week for the Xbox family, from our announcement that over 2 million Xbox Ones were sold in the console's first 18 days on the market to Thursday's news that the Xbox One was November's fastest-selling console, dwarfing the launch of the Xbox 360 in 2005 by a rate of nearly three to one. Of course, while sales figures are all well and good, at the end of the day it's all about the games. To that end, join us in celebrating the titles that are already available and looking forward to the great games on the horizon with this montage video we've put together. A lot of people have said a lot of nice things about the Xbox One, so take a look and get excited for the future!

I really wish they would show more of Sunset Overdrive. That game just looks like it is going to be a pure blast.

Definitely looking forward to future games for Xbox One. Next years E3 will be insane crazy for the Xbox One and I can't wait.

HellzAssassin1796d ago

Sunset Overdrive is the only game I really want on the Xbox One. 'Tis a pity Insomniac didn't develop it for PS4):

This trailer is actually pretty good though! I'd like to see Sony's answer to this :D

JokesOnYou1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

lol, dualshockers is getting desperate for attention with these headlines.

Looks like industry standard advertising from micro, and more importantly that's an excellent lineup of games on X1. If Micro keeps this up and proves all the haters wrong like they have been doing since E3, clearly X1 is going to definitely finish this gen as microsofts best console effort ever, so far it seems they learned alot from the original xbox and last gen with the 360.

malokevi1796d ago

Destiny, Titanfall, The Division, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Spark, QB, Dragons Age, Infamous, PS2, PVZ, The Witcher, Dying Light, Fable, Kinect Sports Rivals, Battlefront, Warhammer.

^^all high on my radar. Soon to be spoiled, I am.

Magicite1796d ago

urgh @ Kinect Sports Rivals

malokevi1796d ago

I thought the same thing initially. But after playing the waverace demo (again and again) I'm a believer. Beautiful, responsive, and more importantly, fun.

christocolus1796d ago

The kinect sports franchise is a big hit. Over 6million copies sold and kinect sports rivals is a huge improvement over the others.people need to try it out...the wave race.those graphics.the water .damn...loving it so much. Cant wait for the full release.

Charybdis1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

Pretty good trailer. With so many great games even watch dog falls to the background of my most wanted list.

Bigpappy1796d ago

I really like this Ad. Don't have a problem with it whatsoever.

christocolus1796d ago

I also want to see something from rare so badly, those guys have up to 3 unannounced projects in the works and also whats up with black tusks ip? Enough with the teasers already.

AngelicIceDiamond1796d ago

They forgot to add Fable Legends and Black Tusk teasers in there.

MS needs to continue this big push of games and not slow down.

amiga-man1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

It's fair to say most that stuff will be available on the PS4, M$ like to make a lot of noise and do a good job of advertising games being very selective in their reviews making things seem a lot more exciting than they actually are (Ryse looks great but not much else for example) many will fall for it.

It will be interesting to see how things develop especially with the PS4 looking to be the dominant platform this gen, with Sony's excellent 1st party studios and 3rd party games looking better on the PS4 M$ might have a hard time keeping up despite the money they will inevitably pump into advertising.

Angelicice diamond i'm just pointing out advertising is something M$ does well, but it really is a mask they hide behind.

AngelicIceDiamond1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

"It's fair to say most that stuff will be available on the PS4,"

MGS5, The Division, BF4, COD and Elder Scrolls Online The Witcher etc yes those are multiplats. I'm not sure if I understand what your saying.

"M$ like to make a lot of noise and do a good job at advertising being very selective in their reviews making things seem a lot more exciting than they actually are but many will fall for it."

"M$" is simply advertising like anybody else would. You know when Sony does those only on PS montages or that video where they showcase allot of games. Like this past E3, they did that. This is MS equivalent to that.

All those exclusive games are coming to the platform next year. They're doing it to build hype and excitement because those games are coming soon.

Again I'm not sure what your getting at exactly.

AngelicIceDiamond1796d ago

"i'm just pointing out advertising is something M$ does well, but it really is a mask they hide behind."

But how is it a mask if what MS is advertising here is true?

amiga-man1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

Yes it is a mask if they use it to highlight the good reviews push graphics instead of gameplay and bulk up third party support with timed exclusivity, selling Ryse as something amazing as well as dead rising etc is definetly hiding the truth but it is advertising and I would expect nothing else, like I said it is something M$ do very well, but as you point out later M$ record supporting the 360 especially in the last 3 years was pretty poor.

M$ and the 360 competed very well last gen but the advantages they held are no longer there, especially the years head start they enjoyed, Sony have learnt a lot and I can only see them gaining market share this gen.

AngelicIceDiamond1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

@amiga This is my last bubble

Let me dissect your comment.

"Yes it is a mask if they use it to highlight the good reviews"

Why would MS or any game company advertise there products faults? Activision advertises COD saying it has "raving reviews" and a "must buy" with all thes 9's in the all over the game.

You and I both know that's not the case.

and here

Didn't they say it has 9's and critics are "raving"? I think you need to point the finger here.

"push graphics instead of gameplay and bulk up third party support with timed exclusivity"

You do realize this is a montage right? A run through a preview of what's coming. If you wanna see gameplay and graphics go to YT and watch. Quantum Break looks great.

"and bulk up third party support with timed exclusivity,"

Sony's doing the exact same thing man. Watch Dogs, Destiny, Elder Scrolls (exclusive Beta) I'm sure more will be announced. Its pointless to blame MS when Sony is do the exact same same thing here.

"selling Ryse as something amazing as well as dead rising etc is definetly hiding the truth but it is advertising and I would expect nothing else"

Deadrising does have high reviews it the most highly review X1 exclusive right next to Forza. Again why would MS advertise the faults of Ryse? Come on man.

Your comment has many flaws that but I corrected for you.

amiga-man1796d ago

I agree Angelicicediamond, a company does not and will not advertise faults that is the mask, the truth is very different in many cases, my point about M$ using advertising better than most to hide faults or make things seem better than they are is still valid, especially when you are as good as M$ at it and have huge budgets to do so.

KingDadXVI1796d ago

If you are going to point out that MS did not provide a lot of first party support on the 360 it would be only fair to point out that Sony's support of the PS3 was pure sh!t for the first 3 years. Not to mention all the functions and games that they advertised that never happened.

I know as I bought one. They continually brought out games a year or more later for the PS3 or did not ever bring them out at all. It wasn't for the last 3 years that they started doing something with they thing. So it is nothing to brag about that the PS3 supported its console in the last 3 years when they did nothing with it in the first 3.

amiga-man1795d ago (Edited 1795d ago )

Kingdad lets just leave it at I totally disagree, I know also because I too had a PS3 from the start and it is fair to say my favourite games came in the early years of the PS3, Motorstorm, Heavenly sword, little big Planet, Warhawk not to mention uncharted, It is well known the PS3 was difficult to program and that caused early problems but don't act as if there was nothing to play, once those problems were sorted the games flowed freely,

Sony have learnt that lesson and have built the PS4 with developers in mind, I really wouldn't worry too much about games for the PS4, I'm not so sure I can say the same for the xbox.

Magicite1796d ago

they will be exhausted sooner than you know.

FunAndGun1796d ago

MS are good sprinters, but horrible at long least from their previous races.

XboxFun1796d ago

and Sony are horrible sprinters but great snap runners at the very end. At least from the last previous race.

Would you rather have a great beginning and a wealth of backlog games to choose from for your new console you just bought or have to wait well into it's last cycle for the games to start finally coming in?

And MS has already stated there will be a steady flow of games through Xbox One's lifetime.

Dewitt1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

Dualshockers up to their old tricks, they are showing the games coming to the platform that have been announced as well as titles that have been released.

This is an excellent trailer with a ton of games I can't wait to get my hands on.

JasonKCK1796d ago

Dewitt you should have thought that one through before posting it. MS, Sony, and Nintendo all do that.

MorePowerOfGreen1796d ago

What you say is true so why the "New Xbox One Accolades Trailer is Very Selective, Boasts About Games Months Away from Release" ???? Dewitt is right. DS is trying to downplay the trailer and bait trolls into the anti XB1 talking points.

JasonKCK1796d ago

I didn't agree or disagree. Was just pointing out that they all do the same thing before someone starts bashing MS.

Drewidian1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

Personally, I don't have a problem with mixing where you are today and where you are going with your games, but for those that aren't available today, they should have a watermark or something that says "Coming Soon", but all of the games I saw in the trailer are going to be on the platform from what I could tell.

JokesOnYou1796d ago (Edited 1796d ago )

No, the headline is hit seeking flamebait material. This is basic advertising 101, games on the platform and games coming to the platform it doesn't matter the timing if you buy a X1 you will be able to play ALL those games now or later= every single company advertises this way.

I saw a trailer from sony doing the EXACT same thing but its was worst with less exciting exclusives and even more multiplats, but no BS article from dualshockers about sony.
