Leaked Documents Reveal That Fallout 4 Is Real, Set In Boston

Kotaku: Still upset about that massive Fallout 4 hoax? Here's some good news for you: The next entry in Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG series is real, it's in development right now, and, as rumored, it appears to be set in Boston, according to casting documents obtained by Kotaku.

The story is too old to be commented.

Even though this is Kotaku and they are usually wrong, this seems quite legit.

"a Kotaku reader sent me several documents from a casting call for a project code-named Institute"

Well, this may be a false alert my friends, *sigh* Kotaku, still rate it a 'WTF'

EDIT: it seems really hard to tell, the documents look real and it seems legit, I dont really know but if this is real, Fallout 4 on next gen will be amazing. I could see a e3 2014 announcement and a e3 2015 appearance

allformats2740d ago

Kotaku isn't usually wrong at all. They've broke many massive stories that winded up being real.

lol you must be new to N4G my friend. Kotaku i one of the worst site and is mostly wrong and talks pure bs.

@angels "A poster commented that his wife was being casted for some big role in the game and that if Kotaku wanted information that they should talk to him. Within seconds a Kotaku editor got his information in the comments section"

Well this makes me doubt it because a random users wife is actually a part of the cast. He does realise if this is true he and his wife will be fired and also they might be sued as they usually sign a contract about how you can talk about it.

EDIT: @FOxtrot '"code-named Institute"

Didn't the guy who did the Survivor Hoax name an "Institute" during the morse code stuff "

Maybe that site isnt a hoax, maybe he was ordered to make the site seem fake or something. Gosh so many things are happening now!!!

FALLOUT 4!!!

MattyG2740d ago

@iGAME3R-VIII The hoaxer didn't make the Institute up. It was mentioned a lot on Fallout 3. Also, I agree with allformats, Kotaku is pretty reliable on rumors once you get past all their useless articles with cats and anime and stuff. They do quite a bit of fact checking before posting this stuff.

@iGAM3R-VIII

"lol you must be new to N4G my friend." Umm you do realize who you're talking to right?

gaffyh2739d ago

Kotaku actually broke the Xbone DRM story, way before any one actually thought it was even possible. To the point that Pachter said "it was the dumbest rumor he ever heard", so they're not always wrong.

I saw the conversation in the comments section of a Kotaku article about the Survivor website a while back. A poster commented that his wife was being casted for some big role in the game and that if Kotaku wanted information that they should talk to him. Within seconds a Kotaku editor got his information in the comments section.

Im surprised it took this long because I saw that post like a week ago......They practically spoon fed it to them...a story of this magnitude. The editor was literally begging for the guy to email.

porkChop2740d ago

That makes this sound even more fake to me. If his wife was really voicing a big role in the game she would be under NDA, and he wouldn't openly talk about the game with Kotaku. His wife would be fired very shortly.

Angels37852740d ago

Actually its an audition.....if she didn't get the part she is not under anything

"code-named Institute"

just realised that, mayeb it isnt a hoax, maybe this is actually real

MattyG2740d ago

He mentioned it because it's mentioned in Fallout 3 a lot and they're said to be in the remains of MIT, which is in Boston. There was a rumor about Bethesda being around Boston last year doing research, so that's where the original Boston rumor came into play.

Angels37852740d ago (Edited 2740d ago )

This seems pretty legit....more than Survivor xD

MightyNoX2740d ago (Edited 2740d ago )

Damn it! Beat me a by a mere minute! Good show, my friend.

Edit: Take this 'news' with a grain of salt. Remember, you can't be disappointed if you don't get your hopes up.

CocoWolfie2740d ago (Edited 2740d ago )

hopefully this doesnt mean that its far off, that the script has been partly written and theyre underway in making it :') lets hope they break that record for most lines in a video game also ;) *if they still hold it ._.*

-Foxtrot2740d ago

So Ron Perlman won't be narrting the intro...

How can the player narrate the intro...will there be a male/female version for whatever gender you pick?

GarrusVakarian2740d ago (Edited 2740d ago )

No way! I had no idea it was Ron Perlman, im currently watching Sons Of Anarchy so i can't believe i never noticed it before seeing how big of a Fallout 3 fan i am.

On topic, man i hope this is true. Everything else in my life will halt when Fallout 4 gets released.
