Still Hope for New 'n' Tasty on Xbox According to Oddworld

As the resident Xbox lover around here, I have to be honest and say that things have been tough over the last 6 months. It's hard to maintain your love for a console when its creators seem to be doing so many things wrong, or at least explaining what they're doing in the the worst way possible. One thing Microsoft definitely dropped the ball on was getting indie developers on board and whilst they have rectified that mistake to a large extent with their [email protected] program, the damage has been done to some extent.

I really hope they bring back abe

Fingers crossed they work something out!

It really depends on if Microsoft is willing to bend its own rules with [email protected]

Abe is meant to be out early next year and the small studio would be forced to wait another 6 month's to release to allow for Xbox development.

They are always in talks with Microsoft. They were in talks about the HD remakes and look what happened there.

I think MS would be smart to make deals to get around the launch parity clause, at least for these early games where they're already well into development on the PS4.

Assuming it stays on schedule and talks go on further it'll be out on PlayStation platforms quite a bit before Microsoft ones, which, if I remember correctly goes against MS own recently announced parity rules (to be sold on an Xbox platform, games have to come out on all platforms at the same time, or Xbox first I imagine) so surely that makes it unlikely even if Oddworld want to port it to Xbox, and it's not entirely clear that they do.

would be great if they did get it on the xbox... MS really need to completely remove the policy and not have a technicality work
