Yeah, Performance should have gone to PS4. Installs are extremely short in comparison and the games run smoother. Also, the games category should have been a tie. Who knows what else is going to be announced, especially with Sony's killer exclusive developer stable.

firstly xbone has DDR3 not DDR5, it's TV functionality was made with the sole focus of America in mind which is why it stutters on UK 50ghz,live is in no way better than plus.. the latter has everything live has plus you get a better value of games, xbones ui is cluttered and adding a friend is a nightmare especially when it takes you all the way to back to the top of the screen, controller is individual preference either controller is amazing but More innovation and changes has gone into dual shock 4, you can tell by the way she wrote this article it's clearly one sided and bias.. even longtime readers of that site have admitted that.

I have seen BS comparisons in my life but that one is a step above all others. It is obvious that the person who wrote that piece either never used both consoles and is just going off what she heard about them or has a blatant bias for microsoft.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that the ps4 should have won every category but when you can have a draw in Performance and Graphics and not even mention the 30 minute installation time for games on the xbox one compared to the 7 minute installation time for the ps4, It's pretty obvious where her dedication lies.

Biggest pluses for me were:
-Games
-Controller
-Camera
-I'd argue X1 is also the better value but given her logic was ps4 is "cheaper" even when the ps camera is included, still its also a camera she herself rightfully rated lower than kinect still she gave ps4 the nod on price, to me that's different than "value", I guess she was just trying to be fair but if you ultimately pick the higher priced console that says it all. lol

U can't weight them all the same. And I am tired of hearing how xbone's launch games r wayyyy better. I bought a ps4 b/c of games. I orefer AC4, CoD and B4 looking crisp and clean. Love Resogun and I want to o lay Diablo 3 and FF 14. Killzone is amazing and at some point I am gonna jump into DC Univers Online. Now, I will buy an xbone within 6 months for Titanfall but Dead Rising and Ryse did not sway me to the xbone at launch. And many have had priblems with the UI, party chat and cumbersome menues. I like the PS4 UI. Yeah I want dlna and video upload to something other than Facebool but I understand that both r early builds and will change dramatically based on consumer desire. I understand this is opinion which is fine ...mine is different.

The 15min vs 5min recording is real not a big deal, and come down to preference. I say this because if I need 15mins of recording, I can just record 3 time and have parts 1, 2 and 3. Very rarely would I have use for that large a file.

I am not going to spend much time on this topic though, as I know some of these features are half backed on the Xbox right now. But there are a lot more of them than PS4. I do see X1 winning social in the near future.

Would have given PS4 performances at this time due to more games at higher resolution.

Having said that PS4 can not snap the apps for efficient multi tasking and doesn't not have the strong group skyping features you find with X1.

which is the better gaming console.
xbox brand is a gameing brand so when i see people who got a xbox say things like "it has better apps"...or "snap features" and "winning the social" i never hear best gaming console....never.
if i want the best social ill use my phone.
if i want the best apps ill use my phone.
if i want the best features ill use my phone..or pc
but if we are talking best for gaming ill go ps4...
im tired of hearing excuses on this, the x1 is a great console..i hear. and so game on it, but dont try to argue and bring app to the table...something the ps4 can just patch in. x1 isnt patching in more power.

Does not, not "can not". All you have to do is press the middle button on the PS4 controller to go back to the UI and then go to wherever you want then double tap the middle button again to go straight back into your game and its really, really quick. Much faster than the X1 UI. So it has multitasking....just not the same as the X1 (which has both things on screen at the same time).

The new bumpers are a total turn off to me. Xbone's controller doesn't feel natural at all. They had something good with the 360 controller, and they shouldn't have changed it.

I am a both platformer and its apparent to me there is something dodgy going off. Too many shops etc are backing the XO when anybody in the know things the PS4 will have more success... higher margin maybe ;o)

It makes no sense at all. PS4 is clearly the better console. Not saying the X1 is bad but it just seems like the media refuses to tell people the truth. Even when they say X1 has a better launch lineup their only telling half the story. They're not telling people the more interactive games only run at native 720p. The media will make you believe that X1 and PS4 is even in sales. But PS4 sold over a million units in 24hrs in the US and X1 only sold a million in 13 countries all together. Why is that kind of stuff being swept under the rug I'll never know.

If you want a next gen gaming console buy a PS4 and Nintendo Wii U. If you want a multi media machine buy and Xbox One. Simple as that.
Now before you all start, buying both a PS4 and Wii U gives you a great range of games across the board. Microsoft dropped the ball with Xbox One. Sad but true.

I normally like tomsguide but that was an utterly pathetic comparison.

Most people say the PS4 controller is better than the Xone due to cheap feeling squishy triggers and poorly placed shoulder buttons, and the fact he gave a tie to power brings the veracity of the entire comparison into question.

And Live has nothing on PSN anymore, in fact PSN is probably better given that you get free games that are actually good.

Tomsguide has lost all credibility in my mind, how could they possibly have arrived at a draw in power, or give online services to Live.

This writer should have gotten all of the facts. 1. XBox One's camera is better, however the PS4's camera is optional. A draw.
2. PS4 wins controller hands down because of the touch pad, speakers, and head jack additions alone.
3. Power. What a joke.
4. Install speeds PS4 30 seconds to play, XBox One 5minutes at minimum.
5. Video capture tells us the numbers don't lie. 15min vs. 5min nuff said. Plus the PS4 have screen shot capture.
