Brian Sharon of The Vita Lounge reviews the PS Mobile title Passing Time.
The developers of free to play Frobisher Says took a foray into the PSM market with Passing Time, and it’s a triple whammy – there’s a lot of content on offer, it plays well and it won’t break the bank. It’s a competent soccer game and it works on a touchscreen – who can ask for more?
Pocket Gamer: Passing Time is quite possibly the only football game in existence that lets you act out the classic Peter Kay "'Ave it!" advert.
That's because this is more of a football mini-game collection than a full-on simulator, with keeping possession just as much of a focus as scoring goals.
Edge:There’s a rich irony in Passing Time’s celebration of tiki-taka, the death-by-a-thousand-passes approach favoured by the likes of Barcelona, just as the art has been so comprehensively nullified by Bundesliga brilliance. How appropriate that after this year’s Champions League semi-finals – which saw Spain’s two best clubs beaten by Germany’s – Honeyslug’s game promotes an attractive style but has precious little end product to show for its one-touch strategy.
