I really love the games SCE publishes. I mean I know I'm a Sony fanboy and all but even if I wasn't I would still think the games they publish are amazing.

They had so many brand new, amazing IP's in 2013 alone. Last of Us, Beyond two souls, Puppeteer, Tearaway etc. All great games, all published by SCE.

Anybody who can't respect what SCE have achieved in investment in game development really needs to look twice at was has been offered on console gaming in the last 15years.

Regardless of being a fanboy or not,the sheer amount and quality IPs produced on the playstation platform is quite simply breathtaking and unique.

The factual Order!

1. Activision
2. Electronic Arts
2. Ubisoft
4. Nintendo
5. Sony Computer Entertainment

1. Activsion - No ONE and I mean NO one has transformed, innovated, and dominated video game publishing like Activsion has. Sure at times we may not like them but they have been the Dominate publisher since video Games were invented. Working across ALL platforms with a roster of hit and innovative games.

Everytime Ubisoft or EA seeks to take the lead Activison changed the GAME COMPLETELY!

Pitfall, Chopper Command, Tony Hawk Quake Series, Guitar Hero and Activision currently has the two biggest franchises in video game History ever, Call of Duty and World of Warcraft make more money than most publishers entire roster.

(Blizzard is the publisher but they fall under Activision)

2. Electronic Arts and Ubisoft --- have also been here since day one and have more hits than Activision but these two companies are more so follow the leader (Activision) and just be huge slow jugernauts that still dominate but have a hard time keeping up when Activision makes an innovative move.

4. Nintendo - Nintendo Games are why we buy Nintendo products. We all know the History and quality of Nintendo publishing from card games to Hardware. Nintendo publishing will be around when their hardware dies off.

5. Sony Computer Entertainment - has been faithful to the Nintendo Benchmark and Sony brings to the table some amazing i.p.s. If the system specs were the exact same SOny Publishing and it's Exclusives give it the edge as you know quality and innovative games will be on a Sony system.

As someone who has played Video games since the beginning of time Activision has always been the lead major player. Mass appeal product Better marketing the Right Hit titles and just a huge money maker.

I mean say Activision and immediately Pittfall, River Raid, and Chopper Command come to mind. Activision had 3 big hits before EA/Ubisoft could crank out one.

Nintendo and Sega... Capcom, Ubisoft, etc.

Alex_Boro4197d ago

Not Sega. They haven't put out a decent game in years.

DCfan4197d ago

Valkyra Chronicles, Resonance of fate, Binary Domain, Yakuza series.
Or is it because their games aren't fps??

DCfan4197d ago (Edited 4197d ago )

Atlus
NISA
Aksys
SCE
Sega (Sure their localization is... non-existent at times, but they made some of the best games of all time, Yakuza)

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
