The Xbox One is Officially Creepy, Here's My Story

honestly this is beyond not right. The fact that MS even was able to make this possible really scares me. This means that somehow, they have a picture of your face from your profile and it set. When another kinect sees you in searches through the system and then it finds you and logs you in to everything.

This is beyond creepy and is going to cause a lot of controversy once the media gets a hold onto this.

MS have went to far if this is true.... :O

EDIT 1: So I have a friend around the corner of my house with a X1 and I am going to see if this is actually true

EDIT 2: so i went to my friends house and I did the exact same scenario and it worked :O, HOWEVER, I have logged onto my account on his X1 before so he tried it on my X1 and it did not work but when he logged on it ended up logging him in to everything that his account was linked to such as netflix, twitch, youtube, etc. Therefore this article is fake or it just didn't work for me for some reson

That's why they packed in Kinect. There were concerns about privacy since Xbox One was announced. As far as the database, 300,000 servers ring a bell? It's definitely happening without consumer's knowledge.

Let me guess, you're going to tell me that they have partnered with the government and paired user accounts with drivers license records, etc, right??

You think that they can have a database of MILLIONS of ID photos and Kinect is going to pick one guy out of the crowd and recognize him from that?? In a few seconds time??

The government has facial recognition software that even on its best day couldn't do that in hours, much less seconds.

Well , it may not harm you but it does for us. Here are some of the reasons :

¬ It expose our woman by spying and taking data, plus any hacker can hack the camera and that lead to many bad situation , we live in a crazy world so precaution is better then fixing.

¬ Our governments are dictators so they use anything they can to defend it self and make us suffer. Kinect is an easy way to do that. Phones already record our conversations and stuff like that so why wouldn't they do the same with kinect.

¬ I love my privacy .

If that's not reasonable then i don't know what it is.

Edit : I think you got the wrong idea, we use the camera online when we need it . Connected all the time will make it forbidden.

Didn't Microsoft say that if you use somebody else's Xbox One their console will be able to identify you?

The only way that's possible is if your Xbox One uploads your picture to a database that all other Xbox Ones have access to.

Not saying I believe this garbage but only thinking about this. Is it possible that that guy had his own Xbox One? Maybe his Kinect scanned his face from loads of angles and his skelton over time and after about 15 mins of looking at him was able to recognise him from that data?

I'm only speculating as to how this might have happened although I doubt it did at all.
