Earlier this year Square Enix launched the critically acclaimed reboot of the Lara Croft story, Tomb Raider. The first chapter in a new series, it’s no surprise that work has already begun on the sequel, though it seems as though development is moving at a swifter pace than some may be expecting.
Crystal Dynamics have a nearly perfect Lara Croft blueprint for Tomb Raider 12 thanks to Netflix’s Survivor and Legend characteristics.

This is an opinion piece that has zero bearing on production of the hypothetical 12th installment of Tomb Raider.
The animated Netflix series is a sequel to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Also, Netflix distributed this show, the company uses external production companies for most of its content. The show doesn’t provide a template for Crystal Dynamics [who was credited in production of the show], the Lara in the show is the one from the 2013 reboot series, and wasn’t reimagined for the show.
A perfect buleprint to be considered for awards you mean. Yeah, this will pander perfectly.

I know what you mean, but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing her play a slightly more mature version of the character. She's only 42 so still fine for all the action scenes.
The series is an abomination, and if she had anything about her, having read the script..... she should of declined.

Okay I didn't know that but what about the rest I said?....Lara was one of the strongest most badass protagonist in gaming and now she just cries half of the show. If that's a version of Lara that you want, more power to you, it's not for me.

I really don't know why for an origin story they didn't just go with Lara's actual origin story from the PS1 days...where her plane goes down in the Himalayas which kills her parents and her fiancée and she has to survive the harsh weather conditions, the animal predators, human hunters and explore ancient lost caves deep inside the Himalaya mountains....that would of been a better prequel in my eyes. They need to add health packs pack in the sequel though as a way to heal, the regeneration thing is so over used these days especially when this game was supposed to be about survival
Hopefully they'll change the voice actor for Lara in the next game, her voice was terrible in the first one.
I'm a little worried though after Square Enix made it out like the sales for Tomb Raider were disappointing when they weren't.....I'm scared they are going to add stuff in the sequel which doesn't belong their, something to expand the audience for more money/sales and usually when that happens it's never a good sign.

Wai- .. Square Enix How about Rebooting Parasite Eve franchise at the moment , your giving Lara Croft so much attention and i appreciate that but what about Aya Brea , this is one of your biggest Survival Heroes .. She's tough , she's talented , just Like Lara !
