Learn some new MGSV: Ground Zeroes details from Kojima's latest interview.
Sorry but that reason doesn't convince me, they just want more money from us the fans of the series, why if is only a single mission that serve as a tutorial released so we can endure the waiting for the real game, why don't release it as a free demo or beta then?
Exactly how I feel. I mean its basically the same as the tanker mission in MGS2 which was included in the same cd so why this now? I'm not impressed but I'll get it anyway sigh
The game will include side missions and big open areas i think thats fair enough.
A legitimate concern, indeed. Could have been released as an exclusive for those who pre-ordered Phantom Pain, for example.
The more important question is how long is Ground Zeroes? I really hope it's not 1-2 hours.
It's a full game dude. Go read the official fact sheet for the game. It's not just one mission like everyone keeps saying it is.
"The main content in Ground Zeroes is largely meant to be a tutorial for Phantom Pain. He uses the exact word – tutorial, so there’s no doubt about this at all. The story content in Ground Zeroes is limited to the night setting in the rain, but you’ll be able to see other times of the day via the side op missions. There is no dynamic weather or day/night cycle in Ground Zeroes." it sounds like one main mission only.
Kojima already said that it has a story mode and multiple side op missions so I don't know what people are talking about. People are taking this tutorial nonsense the wrong way as well.
@ e-p-ayeaH Yeah ONE mission but that doesn't mean exactly that there is literally 1 mission like in GTA V but that there is 1 objective in the story but one that takes time to be completed.
"The save data in Ground Zeroes will carry over to Phantom Pain, and there will be benefits in the full game for extra stuff you decide to do in Ground Zeroes." MGS5 Phantom Pain PS3 ver. confirmed i guess.
It was already confirmed...
Um, mgs5 was confirmed as a current gen title first.....
Cannot wait for this!! Only news I don't like is next gen download will cost the same as old gen physical copy - AND next gen doesn't even get a physical copy?!? MGS guys won't like that at all...
Kojima can do no wrong in my opinion so i'll be buying both.
I understand why they are not together for the reason that if there is too much fans don't like he can change stuff in PP before it comes out. But I do hope we get 3 to 4 hours of game play for that price or I will be happy for 2 hours and MGO.
Since I'm an utter fanboy of the series, I have no problem buying a game with technically only 1 mission (maybe even buying it twice), but I can see why people are concerned about the price. Hopefully there's enough side-ops missions to make it worth 20-30 USD.
