Spike’s PS4 All Access Event: All Aboard the Hype Train!

Over at the popular forum NeoGaf, gamers are hyping up what is to come tonight at the PS4 All Access Live: Greatness Awaits launch event, airing on Spike TV at 11 p.m. ET. A tweet by Geoff Keighley has brought much discussion about the possibility of the actor Antonio Banderas making an appearance. In it, Keighley writes about Shuhei Yoshida being surprised with an announcement made during the taping of the event, and he then responds to an inquiry about the Banderas gif, adding to the hype by writing, “We hear you loud and clear on that. Stay tuned.”

it has and it was disappointing. no big announcement they promised us infact the only new announcement was uncharted which is great but we knew ND are working on a game and now we are just dying with anticipation. the infamous:SS neon ability we knew about they didn't show much more of that than we have already seen and we still don't know what exclusive content if any bungie/sony said there will be just early access to beta

It has and yes it was a bust for Gt. My big question is where was EPIC GAMES big announcement? They where suppose to reveal something but never happened.Most likey at the VGX this will happen. Nice to get exclusive beta and dlc from Destiny which will be great and UC4 will be epic cant wait to see more on that one.

Well I was expecting something "shocking" from Kojima, a game announcement from Epic and some games from Sony first party but all we got was a teaser trailer for a game that was expected to be announced soon anyway.

It was good, but nowhere near as good as it was hyped up to be. I was expecting something huge from it. Geoff & Hideo proper hyped it up way too much.

This event was for the masses. Many don't come on sites like this. We get spoiled for upcoming releases because of this site. We know before it is officially announced.

I loved the Kojima reveal because despite how he worded it, all I could hear in my head was:

'Ladies and gentlemen I am proud to finally announce the 'Deja Vu' mission. A mission which will use the full power of your brand new, state of the art, £350 PS4 and make it look like the gaming console you bought back in 1994!'

Don't get me wrong it is cool, but whatever happened to the days when this was just an unlockable or an achievement for completing the game? I remember the spiderman game way back on the PS1, it had 10 or more costumes each of which had different attributes, and that was nearly 20 years ago! In todays industry standards they'd probably equate that to about £10 of DLC.

So yes Mr Kojima your announcement was 'shocking', just not in the way you thought it would be.
