Equal parts Indiana Jones and Uncharted, the story is an old time pulp adventure that never takes itself too serious. The dialogue is corny but in a semi-charming way. James Quartermain’s back story is a little too similar to Nathan Drake’s. Both are descendants of famous explorers and both are now themselves adventurers. Because of this, at first glance it would be very easy to write Deadfall Adventures off as a copy-cat, but Uncharted, Indiana Jones, and even Tomb Raider are all heavily influenced by the same source material, H. Rider Haggard’s Allan Quartermain novels, so I’m more than willing to give it a little leeway.
