Frostbite Engine 3 is a next-generation game engine that has several upgrades over its previous versions including improved tessellation technology. It also features Destruction 4.0, which enhances the in-game destruction over its predecessors.

I felt the first game was the only decent one out of the series. Some Areas in DS2 were good but I thought the whole game was just okay. But I agree DS3 was terrible.

If anything I would go with BF 2142 sequel. Since they are developing Battlefront for 2015. They scifi approach would teach the team a few things going forward towards Star Wars. They have no shooter announced for 2014 to compete with Call of Duty.
