Every big war game that hits the shelves is accompanied by a round of people saying “don’t bother with the single player.” Battlefield 4 is one of the best examples of that yet.

I still haven't played the game yet but I think he's Rico (KZ2) version for Battlefield 4. I hated that A-hole so damn much.

I've never bought a Battlefield for campaign. I am a completely pro-singleplayer type of gamer. I would much rather have an amazing singleplayer than tacked on multiplayer. Yet with Battlefield, I'm the complete opposite. It's the one exception for me. I keep wishing they'd just devote all their time to online and skip any singleplayer nonsense.

Completely agree man. I think the game would've been received with better review scores if they didn't add the campaign. It just hinders the potential of a strictly multiplayer focused game

I am the same way pro-single player but why cant a studio such as dice churn out a decent singleplayer. Despite what a lot of people think about CoD it at least always has a decent singe player regardless of whether its technically impressive or not. I dont play BF because its too multiplayer oriented and I dont play CoD anymore because its too much of the same. Going to stick to KZ as an fps fix for at least beginning of this next-gen.

They have. See Bad Company 1&2, Mirror's Edge and Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. Its only from 2011 that the campaigns started sucking.

I was liking the campaign but had to stop by like the 4th mission. My ps3 was making the craziest disc reading noises non stop. I get my games digital because of this I was just renting bf4 from red box.

Maybe you should take better care of your PS3?
It's probably a physical problem with the system, not your game.

I never bothered with the singleplayer in bad company 2 or Battlefield 4. Multiplayer is the way to go! Now if BF4 had modding ability with bots like BF2...I'd do it! haha

Bad company series had a great SP as well as MP.Its a shame you should play it

if you dont play campaign you miss out on several guns that add to the mp experience so just suck it up and play it... its short as all hell anyways

Don't care if it's crappy or not, I always play single player first then multiplayer been doing that with PS1 and I will continue.

Yeah. I don't see why series like Call of Duty or Battlefield even bother with single-players modes anymore.

I say this, not because I think their single-player campaigns are necessarily poorly done, but because they're not the main attraction. The main attraction of either series has always been their multiplayer modes. Disagree with this all you want, but it's true. Billions of YouTube videos, millions of forum topics, veritable tidal waves of hype, and hours and hours of good times with friends are not coming from the single-player campaigns.

Most people spend like, what, several hours on the campaign? Then you look at their multiplayer profiles and see that they've spend literally DAYS playing the multiplayer.

Making a single-player campaign for either series is just a waste of time and resources. Time and resources that could be better spent on the multiplayer.
