People are complaining because he is a hypocrite. Months ago he claimed that every game better be 1080P 60 FPS. Now that most Xbox One games don't even run at 1080P or 60 FPS, he says it's okay for games to run at lower resolution, even when the cheaper priced console manages to get multiplatform games to run at a higher res.

Sessler seems to be getting quite a lot of preferential treatment from MS lately, he had an exclusive interview with Phil Spencer and is getting hands on time. I'd even bet that MS has given him a free Xbone.

it's not common sense to contradict statements made months ago about how all games need to be 1080p @ 60fps on next gen systems. that's called hypocrisy.

it's also not common sense to try and argue that 720p is better/the same as 1080p because 'murica.

I like that this woman constructively criticised the controller but when she did Adam Sessler's body language suddenly became very defensive and he interrupted her. I wouldn't expect such fanboy behaviour from a Microsoft exec yet he is 100 times worst. Shameful.

Sessler: The new controller is AMMMMMAZZZZZZING. It can cure cancer and fight crime. The d-pad is alittle bit better.

I definitely recommend picking up atleast 6 or 7 extra controllers at launch or with any new gamefly rental.

Other Reviewers: Solid controller. Triggers are redefined and the rumble triggers are a nice touch. It sucks it's an extra 15$ for the charger kit.

The ps3 cured cancer already. Cell. But you may be on to something, my deaf grandpa watched a Knack demo and he can now hear after 13 years. Heard a sony fanboy pull out his mandatory Sony buttplug from a block away and actually heard the *pop* it made coming out! Now thats amazing.

He then started to cry, i asked whats wrong he said he heard that disturbing *pop* go in and out in and out over and over and it wouldn't stop. I said wait til you go to n4g.com - it's worse.

It looks like a big improvement over the 360 pad. Id be excited about it if i was getting an X1, but I'm not.

Seems the general reaction to both new controllers is very positive. That's great for everyone really. :) the rumble triggers seem like a good idea.

the button/trigger thing tara brought up - anyone else feel that issue when playing? adam strangely tried to spin it as a positive, as if some game would want us to push both buttons at the same time with only one finger...

I thought the same thing. The top half of the trigger is "even" with the bumper with little space in between.

I think with muscle memory there will no issue, but new gamers might have difficulty adjusting at first.

The lady was very truthful.. ASess was kinda not. He didn't say that it was basically the SAME CONTROLLER... She also pointed out how close the lb/rb buttons are to the triggers and its harder to press than the 360 controller which is a negative but not to ASess... He clearly said that you can EASILY press them a both at the same time but hasn't fold a game that it's suitable for but send it into a positive light... REALLY??? lol

She then replied, I don't know about that...

Even though I am not a fan of the new xbox controller over the current one (I've used the xbox one controller for about 5 hours), I would say that they are both right in their own respects. The comment about the lb rb buttons were silly as h3ll. They are not harder to push (the girl), and what game uses the bumper and trigger buttons at the same time (Sessler)...lol?

The pad is not as comfortable as the last one for me as it is smaller, the triggers are nice but the material they used on the controller is more slick than the 360. So the combination of the controllr being smaller and more slippery doesn't work well for me as I have bigger ands and my palms sweat sometimes.

Honestly after about an hour, I didn't really notice the size though.

Edit: I forgot to add that the rubber around the thumbsticks kind of make up for them being smaller.

I do like Sessler's game chats. But lately he seems to have been overly brushing aside many of the limitations of the Xbox one. If your reviewing tech or gaming. You must review both the pros & cons that are on offer. Then draw a conclusion.
I'm disappointed. His impartiality seems to have left him.

I've owned every generation of playstation console, but I must say that I am completely appalled by the sony circle jerk that happens on this site. Give Sessler a break with the whole mismatched resolution statements. Guess what, maybe he changed his stance to gain a more neutral position between the new consoles, which is an ideal move for a reporter. One of his points was that he won't be judging any console just yet because we never now what might crop up a couple years down the road. We all need to be more open minded and learn to be excited for both sides of this invisible 'war'. Oh and calling someone a fanboy sheds a lot of light on your own biases, making you exactly what you managed to pointlessly label.

Except he's never really been neutral, for one. For another, you're NEVER going to be seen that way after bitching about not receiving a free console from one company, then glossing over the shortcomings of the other company, which just so happens to align with your preference.

There are three reasons to call someone a fanboy.

1. You're trying to redirect an argument away from facts.

2. You've misunderstood someone's stance.

3. You're calling a spade a spade.

In this case, it's definitively the last. And it's not a "pointless" label. For years, Sessler has rather obviously preferred Xbox. And while it didn't used to be that big of a deal, these days, he's gone off the deep end with it. What's as bad as how obvious he's being is how strongly people are defending him while he's doing wrong. Hell, he might as well be a part of Microsoft, at this point.

Xbox 1 controller is more subtle changes compared to the ps4 which a lot of people really didn't like and is much better i think anyone would like. X1 controller had done a lot of changes under the shell, with motors, better transmitters, and more accurate controls.

You don't have to agree with every word someone says to appreciate them. Sess has some of the smartest as analysis of gaming I've ever seen. He simplifies complicated issues brilliantly and seems mostly honest yl me.
Rev 3 games are some of the best on YouTube.
He loved DS4 too. I've never had a problem changing between DS3/360 pads. I've not used new XB1 pad but I can say DS4 is outstanding.
