IGN - We played the first hour, and there's no mistaking this for an Xbox 360 game.
The cloud based enemies will be brilliant. Now when I rage, I can actually blame someone in the world.
MS has been going crazy with these games today. You can't argue that Forza 5 is a graphical masterpiece to show off the new hardware.
Dude...how could anyone 'disagree' with this? Its funny as hell. Geez people...lighten up!
Ign is being weird with these Xbox One previews
I'm not trying to sound bias but there is something weird with these previews as well. They always seem like Xbox apologists, and I stopped going there. I since got my news else where and everything has been a lot less sugarcoated.
Agreed. I'm pro MS (have and love a PS3 too) but all of these articles at once is sketchy. I like hearing the positive feedback, I just hope most of it is truth!!
Impressive. And that's coming from a PS guy.
Very nice. It is not my cup of tea, but it looks like a great game for car aficionados. It is also the only game so far, that I know of, that utilizes the cloud to improve gameplay. It lo0ks very promising, I bet they could use the cloud to improve bot combat in FPS.
Pre ordered since E3
this game looks so amazing....yet some fbs who will never buy an xbx one keep complaining about half baked lighting , turn10 cutting corners and no night and day bs.....sometimes i wish biased and ignorant fans could be blocked out from making very unreasonable and biased comments.
Well it's got half the tracks so technically and literally they cut corners.
How is it unreasonable or biased to ask if the lighting is real time or if there are any changes in time of day? I get that the game cant have everything others games have and thats fine but asking questions does not make anyone a fanboy.
my friend there is a difference between wanting to get informed by asking reasonable questions and trying to mock a game because its not on your console of choice and cos you feel like downplaying others choices...there is a thin line between a regular fanboy and a fanatic...fanboys are generally good ...fanatics aint fanboys they are just biased, narrow minded and ignorant like most here in n4g.
Ok i can agree with you on that, but the way you worded the first comment sounded like anyone asking these questions would atomaticaly be a fan boy, i personaly dont care about what methods they use to make the game, it looks very good and i will buy an xbox one by march so that i can play this game, have not missed a forza yet and dont plan on starting now.
What so many of these same people don't realize is that many of the games on the console they worship also use baked lighting and various other graphical "tricks". Even the Uncharted series uses baked lighting in places. In any case, I see the shadows being cast inside the cars, the shadows being cast by the cars, the shadows on the tracks being cast on the cars as they go through them...I don't see the problem. The light shafts are also nice. It's not a bad lighting model for a racing game.
I don't know, I'm not really impressed with the visuals for this game. The cars look amazing, but there's something about it that just makes it overall look very fake. Maybe the lighting or the environments, not really sure. It's a shame there's no SKU without Kinect. Otherwise I'd get one as I love the Forza series and really want to play this game.
This is the game that will make me buy an xbox one, im a bit disapointed that there are only 14 tracks but with reverse tracks and a few diffrent layouts i think it will be fine, not happy about the day one dlc though.
