Ghosts, in and of itself, is a fine game. It ticks all the boxes and then blows the boxes up in glorious 1080p resolution (on PS4 at least). Those who only ever play COD will be more than happy with it, but those who have grown weary of the series will see more of their ambivalence justified this time around. Infinity Ward had a chance here to throw down the gauntlet for the next hardware generation, to set the new standard, to show that this hugely popular, much derided behemoth can dance to a different tune. It's chosen to play a Greatest Hits package instead.

A "Greatest Hits" Call of Duty. Might be time for me to pick it up. I have not bought one since MW2. I don't like the way they addressed the difference in resolution between the XBox One and the PS4. I think it is a little more of a serious issue that warrants more than a cheap-shot, but a more thorough explanation.

Xbone was not designed as a gaming machine, the ps4 was. It also had less than half the development time of ps4. IMO it's no excuse since all they had to do was put in a proper GPU.

The series needs to go away for awhile, just like assassins creed.

I wonder how there going to market that one? Oh yeah by paying IGN to give them an 8.8 and post it on the box! "Damn you Activision!"
