Time for a Gamasutra thought experiment - what books, comics, movies, and dormant game franchises richly deserve to be made into games? The site's editors have banded together, locked horns, and produced this no doubt debatable result.
the games from fasa studios
... Lanfeust of Troy. Great characters, gorgeous fantastic world, etc. Also, a game about The Wizard of Oz would be cool, or about Peter Pan. Plus why isnt there a cool game of MASK, or a Battlefield-style game of GI Joe!? Or a Tomb Raider/James Bond kinda action game for Danger Girl!? There is still so much great potential left untapped, which would make great games....
I'm all for new ips in gaming, but for a dark tower game to be any good it'd have to be an rpg. Probably something along the lines of fallout. An action dark tower game like they described in the article would be god awful.
an rpg game set in the DT universe that has nothing to do w/ Roland or any of the other character would be acceptable. but a game that attempted to follow the books, especially an action game, would be horrendous.
