PG:Electronic Arts has canceled its in-development free-to-play Command & Conquer game, according to a statement posted to the game's official website today and, according to employees of the studio, laid off the development team at Los Angeles-based Victory Games.
Command and Conquer mods are overhauling the classic RTS games Red Alert and Tiberian Sun ahead of a live celebration event for Westwood’s strategy series
The sounds of Command & Conquer, originally developed by Westwood Studios, come courtesy of Frank Klepacki and his band The Tiberian Sons.
"In case you have missed it, "ModDB has just released their “2020 Mod of the Year” awards final top 10 list, and what an awesome list it is! And with that said, a big congratulation to everyone who made it into the final top 10 list" - Jonas Ek, TGG.
EA just murders franchises and studios like its nothing
"Your feedback from the alpha trial is clear: We are not making the game you want to play," reads a statement posted to the game's website. "That is why, after much difficult deliberation, we have decided to cease production of this version of the game.
So in summary, they refuse to make the game their fans want, typical EA.
Wasn`t that game developed by Bioware or was that another C&C?
Who didn't see that coming other than EA? It was a terrible idea, they should of just made a sequel to what was done before.
EA = M$ v2.0
