lol see all these developers coming out to confirm the resolutions of their games not to face a backlash from consumers. good hopefully this catches on and we gamers and the industry can have a clearer picture. on a side note i cant remember who said this but a developer did say that next gen will mean game developers and publisher will not have the excuse / luxury to hide behind their smoke and mirrors like last gen its either you step up or shutdown.

gameseveryday1818d ago

No. This is an exclusive to next gen.

This says it is but we will see.

Saviour1818d ago

yea, lol. Now every developer first announce rez/fps thn talk about their games. Is about graphics now, gameplay of all these new game generic, A.I doesn't seems improve from next gen trailers. Ps2 era was best for games I guess. Even with most inferior console technically, had best games.

SilentNegotiator1818d ago

These sports games, especially indoor sports game, really don't have much excuse not to be 1080p.

Fifa 14, and NBA and UFC all have been confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60 frames on both consoles. This is really good news for sports fans.

Skate-AK1818d ago

This article says UFC is 30fps.

I think this whole 1080p 720p stuff is a timing issue. Developers may just need more time with the xb1 to get 1080p. Forza has had the longest time to work on their game on the xb1 which is probably why they were able to do it.

No sir, you are wrong. Well, you must be wrong judging from the one disagree. If Ryse runs at 900p, then all first party games on the Xbox One can only run at 900p!

I am of course being sarcastic. You're comment makes a lot of sense, but common sense isn't going to fuel pointlessly miss-informaed fanboy rants I'm afraid.

Edit: Just look at Niv's comment below mine. See what I mean?

Niv1818d ago

Shud keep it to 720/900p on Xbox one

Nw this game will look like ass on x1 :(

first1NFANTRY1818d ago

Hahaha the hate is strong in u. Can't we all just get along?

Lboogieskells1818d ago (Edited 1818d ago )

30 frames for a Fighting game is unacceptable.

Edit: "Runs At 60, rendered in 30" with motion blur. Is this an art direction or a play at words?

svoulis1818d ago

To be fair this is not a game like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. It is much slower paced, I don't think 30fps is really going to hinder this game, it may look slower compared to 60fps on screen or "less smooth" but I don't think it will effect your ability to play it any less.

hello121818d ago

We discovered that 60 FPS didn’t have a hugely beneficial impact on gameplay, but motion blur had an enormous impact on visual quality’

Mate, i think the guys making the game no best don't you?

Death1818d ago

What are you new here? The members of N4G always know better than the developer/manufacturer/anyone more qualified.

Lboogieskells1818d ago (Edited 1818d ago )

60 frames is standard for fighting/racing/shooting games that are played competitvely. EA has stated that in the past that they want UFC in fighting game Tournaments like EVO. For the Fighting game community to take this game serious, it has to be 60 frames. Just look up any game that made EVO, they fit the bill.

Anyone who is familiar with fighting games know that 60 frames is a must for a good Fighting game.

Elit3Nick1818d ago

I really don't see 30fps being too bad on a game where the camera barely moves at all.

Lboogieskells1818d ago (Edited 1818d ago )

Im guessing you really don't play alot of Fighting games?

hello121818d ago

“UFC is running at 1080p. The game sim is running at 60 FPS, but rendering at 30 FPS with motion blur

So i think its ok.
