The two annual football games go head-to-head, and TGR are on hand to put them side by side and see who comes out the champions.
Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
The 2013 professional soccer game will lose online play starting November 17.

Maybe the most fair comparison that I've seen. FIFA is a great game. However, it is missing some of the nuances of the gameplay. While PES is missing the licenses and some modes, it's gameplay is just great. Yes, there are hitches and nagging issues...in both. But, PES has a quality that just feels right. It's difficult, near impossible, to master in one or two games. It takes probably 10 games to get used to everything and really understand what the new engine is doing and how to work within it. Fox Engine was developed with next-gen in mind. With that, FIFA needs to be careful not to rest on it's proverbial laurels.
