Tynan Muddle at Aussie-Gamer writes: "It’s official: the Nintendo Wii is no longer being sold to retailers in Japan. The end is nigh for the little white box that could.
Of course, this isn’t the first console in history to be discontinued. In fact it goes without saying that every video game console ever made has been — or will be — discontinued at some point. But Nintendo is Nintendo and as the worlds’ media stands by awaiting their seemingly inevitable end, have you ever wondered if news of discontinued consoles is being reported fairly?"
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
Ibrahim from eXputer: "The Medal of Honor franchise was once the crown jewel of FPS war games, later defeated by the tides of time and poor development."
They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.
Was literally just thinking of this game the other week with the secret nut cracker mission and the shooting Bismarck dog lmao. Loved these games as a kid
I have fond memories of playing the Medal of Honor Breakthrough MP Demo. It had two maps and custom servers. Living on campus, I had it downloaded on one of the PC Lab servers so I could access it on any computer at the university. Joined a clan and made friends that I still keep in touch with today.
Hanzala from eXputer: "On this joyous 8th anniversary of the Ratchet and Clank reboot, it's about time Sony considers reviving the originals to complete the saga."
It's not the ideal situation but Sony does offer them on ps plus. I to would just like a big ass compilation on doscto though
Insomniac roadmap leaked a while ago and they are making another, they’re doing the best they can and these games, especially the last two, are master pieces
i think its waaaaaaaay too soon for the Wii to being produced. It's great to know that the WiiU fully supports its old back log of games.
I expect a jump on WiiU sales, cuz they need them.
The Wii was a fine console. It had great games, although they were few.
But the author needs to get over it if he expects people to feel the same way for the Wii as they did for the PS2. You just can't compare the two just because the Wii sold 100 million units.
ffs comparing ps2 to wii.. ps2 had a 10 year life cycle the wii had like 5 . wii hade HUGE sales in the beginning the last 3 year nobody touched it.
Ps2 had many games made for it the last coulple years. there was no more wii games when wii u came out.
It's an unfair comparison. PS2 will always be remembered as one of the greatest consoles of all time while the Wii will not in the hearts of gamers. I am a big Nintendo fan but Wii will mostly be remembered for appealing to casuals so these articles are no surprise.
That was probably 2013's dumbest article of the year... Ps2 isnt loved because it sold 150 mil, its about the gaming memories..
