my theory is that they changed the story line mid way through, and axed the alien story which is the reason for the long delay in release and these are just things left over from that story line they didn't remove. it also seems like they axed a prison break mission, because they have a big intricate prison with nothing special about it

if you pay attention to the news, they said they wont be doing any dlc for the offline story mode, but instead will be releasing free new content dlc for online only
