Steam Early Access – Betrayer Preview | Structure Gaming

Betrayer is set in the Virginia area during the beginning of England’s colonization of the New World in 1604 and is heavily influenced by the mystery of the lost colony of Roanoke. The unnamed, silent protagonist wakes up on a beach after a Spanish conquistador ship sinks the English ship he arrived on that was carrying passengers to the settlement, the sole survivor of the sinking. He encounters a mysterious lady cloaked in red, who communicates to him via messages attached to arrows with warning messages, and swiftly learns about a virus that’s ravaged the population of the settlement. Those who have not been killed have been mutated into savage monsters that will attack anything on sight. With no way of escape to the Old World, only a bow and his wits, the protagonist has no choice but to press onward and piece together the mystery of the lost colony.
